"It was kinda in the middle of the boonies. But has amazing views. Staff has a hard time speaking english but we found a way to understand each other. Overall had a lovely experience. Make sure you make transportation plans in advance it is impossible to find a taxi and buses will not get you to this location. "

"Our experience at this beautiful hotel was exceptional. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, and it was absolutely perfect – from the luxurious Jacuzzi to the spacious, well-appointed shower. Every detail exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, and the entire property is truly special, nestled in the charming heart of San Gemini. "We had a wonderful time staying at Maria Rosa’s as a family of 6 with 4 kids 11 & younger. It was a great price & had everything we needed for a week long stay. It was a nice place to use as a home base for exploring the area of Umbria (Don’t miss Assisi! It is amazing!) There was a well loved pool table & foosball table that our kids greatly enjoyed. We were able to cook with all the pots & pans we needed & the water was hot for showers. Keep in mind you definitely need a car & this is a well loved & well lived in flat so you get what you pay for which we were grateful for. Our highlight was walking up the road & watching the sun rise! The pool looked like it would be enjoyable if you stayed during the hot season, we missed out on that but stayed cozy with the wall heaters instead. If you are looking for a space to make a home base during your exploration of Umbria & also love the peace & beauty of being nestled in olive groves, this is it! Thanks Maria Rosa! "

"Loved the hotel. Most staff helpful. Called taxi for us. We asked for price upfront to exact address. Said 100 euros. Ended up being 150 euros. They gave us "discount" to 130. Hotel should guarantee price with local taxis or pay difference. "

"It was a disappointment that the pool was closed when we arrived. This was the attraction for me to book this hotel. The restaurant for dinner was beautiful. Staff attentive and food great. Highly recommend the dinner here. Breakfast we found very underwhelming. No honey left. no yoghurt left, only a few pieces of bread available. Choice of cornflakes or chocolate flakes. No fresh fruit at all. This was at 8.30am Kitchen staff obviously weren't in kitchen - no hot food. Huge variety of beautiful cakes for breakfast, unfortunately cake for breakfast is not for everyone. We had to go to reception to find service to get coffee/tea."

"This is a wonderful hotel. Feels like a retreat when you are there. The rooms are simple but clean and the location is amazing to visit St Rita. Staff was warm, friendly and accommodating. "
