"Stayed 3 nights at Annick House. Felt like our house from the start. Just safe, comfortable and convenient. Great hosts with history to Nelson. Fabulous fresh breakfast.Nick helped us tour, walking routes and taxis. Had great beer at his pub! Little Thai takeaway near his house had fresh dinners at reasonable price. Had our first NZ pie at downtown bakery.. too good. Nelson will be hard to beat."

"LOVELY stay-the proprietors Tim and Janet are wonderful hosts-we were allowed to check in early, shared an informal happy hour and they gave us a lot of local information and happenings. Janet showed a lot of personal touches to the room and it was great to have our own patio. HIGHLY recommend!"

"We received a lovely welcome to the property and were shown all the little bits and pieces that made the room special and that were thoughtful additions to the general experience. The hosts are lovely and friendly, and the breakfasts are out of this world! Each day a new menu which included a lovely variation of omelets but included home made muesli, a variety of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, orange juice - the works. "I stayed in a private double room before and after the Abel Tasman Track. I was able to leave my luggage in a secure closet at reception for free. The hostel felt homey and had a nice community vibe to it. I credit the friendly staff for that. Towels and bar soap were provided, at least for the private double room. The walls are thin so earplugs are recommended depending on how loud your neighbors are. Kitchen was well stocked, free coffee and tea, and of course the free chocolate "pudding"...
