one night getaway
We loved our right-next-to-the-water one night stay in The Nantucket. The sliding doors in both the living room and the bedroom are about 5 feet from the water. We loved watching the sun rise over the bay and having breakfast on the porch. The bed was comfortable - felt like memory foam. My five year old slept on the pull out couch (I would not want to sleep on that, but she was fine!)
This place is such a tranquil beautiful waterside bungalow. It would be nicer if it was a tiny bit closer to town, but it's not too far, and it's nice to get away from the busyness of downtown. And certainly worth it for the view.
I was worried about the sound of the train, but I noticed they have triple pane windows which really block out a lot of the noise. (In the afternoon, we had the slider open, and it was noticeably louder). With our sound machine on while we slept, we didn't hear it at all.
I use a wheelchair, and had to have my partner push me over either grass or gravel to get to the unit. The bathroom was a tight squeeze for me, and I certainly could not turn around, but I was able to get to the sink and toilet. The shower was a bigger transfer. It was totally fine for a short stay, and we are so glad we splurged on this.
They texted us the day of arrival to let us know it was ready early, at 1:40 PM, which worked out well for us.
My dream is to rent out a number of the units with friends - and enjoy the fire pits right by the water!
