"I as was very impressed with this property. Being a hospitality manager and running a high level lodge here in Alaska, the found the stay here pleasant and relaxing. Convenient to walk places during daylight hours. The staff was very friendly and caring and looked out for my safety as someone tried to follow me in the hotel but I dodged the guy. They were very vigilant of their security camera screen and saw what was occuring. I felt well taken care of. They gave very wise advice regarding my traveling at night alone and so I listened. The assistant manager Carol was very personable and if I could steal her to work for me I would, but my work is seasonal so I’m sure that’s wouldn’t fly. You’re lucky to have her. Her standards are high and she’s very clear about policies and I liked that very much. I always have high expectations where I stay because I give that back to guests. So it was n ice gro experience that there. I Will definitely return and maybe see if some of my other staff can stay here pre season and post. "

"Really lovely historic hotel. Room very comfortable, lovely furnishings and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Good included breakfast. Highly recommend, and would stay again if in Anchorage. "

"I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated the breakfast options, which included cereal, yogurt, bakery items, waffles, coffee, and both apple and orange juice. It was a great way to save on breakfast costs. Special shoutout to the manager, Amber, who is super friendly and really makes sure your stay is pleasant. I’ll definitely be staying here again! Oh and they provide shuttle to the airport !!"

"The location was very good - walkable, convenient to downtown and railroad station. Shuttle goes to airport, railroad, and local restaurants/tourist attractions. Only downside was our room had several bad stains on carpet. Otherwise the room and facility were clean."

"From the time we checked in until we checked out the staff was super friendly and helpful. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The dining options at the hotel were also very reasonable. "Kiki", the young lady who ran the restaurant, was so helpful to all the guests and wanted to make sure everyone was happy with their meal and bar options. All of these people deserve raises. Our room was beautiful and quiet."

"It was an exceptionally clean and well maintained apartment in downtown Anchorage. The owner/ manager Jeff is really nice and cooperative. I am a solo female traveler and felt quite safe. A full kitchen and separate bedroom for the price of a hotel room was a really good deal. I was in apt 5 and the view was fantastic. Rooms are secured by a code and they have paid laundry too. They also have other apartments with more bedrooms, so it’s good for families. The only few considerations are: 1. Lots of stairs to reach the apartment. 2. Homeless people on the street as soon you get out - they didn’t cause me any problems, but I was a little unnerved. 3. All major stores like Walmart, Walgreens, Carrs, etc are in mid-town, so you need to spend on Uber. Both 2 & 3 are not an issue if you have a car, I didn’t. "

"My stay here was very nice. A small room but comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Always clean bathrooms/shower. Max was especially helpful with local information and suggestions for apps. The northern lights one helped me find a good time to see them, and they were very cool to see!!"
