Electric heater for cool mornings. Big windows to the garden area. The town had a nice laundromat and a few convenience stores w the basics. Hilo is only 40min away for bigger grocery stores and more restaurants. . "

"The Pool was great, we liked the feral cats, chickens and ducks roaming the property. It was quiet, close to restaurants and shopping, easy to get to the beaches, downtown and highways. The Hosts were pleasant and accommodating. We didn't use any of the cooking facilities but it was nice to know they were available if we wanted to cook. "

Even though in a neighborhood, it feels very secluded and in your own little tropical forest. We stayed in the Gecko and Volcano rooms. I feel this is a best option when you are traveling with friends and/or another couple to have your own spaces ... but still in the same building/property. Communication with the host was great!"

It’s located near good restaurants, shopping, groceries, and gas, and is a relatively short drive from Hilo. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating. Just remember to bring some good plugs. The jungle comes alive at night with frogs, dogs, and roosters. "

"The property is just as described and the host is very nice. Just a couple of things to consider: the toilet is very low, so if you have knee or back issues, this may not be your place. Also there is no air conditioning. We were absolutely fine, but I don’t know how hot it would be in the summer. The drive across the island is 1.5-2 hours, so plan ahead. Overall, I would stay here again. It was comfortable and safe. "

Location is very secluded in the middle of the forest gravel road going in very dark if you come in late but very safe location we stayed in number five had a perfect shower table microwave small fridge upstairs had a bed and a restroom, I would recommend If you like to save the environment and stay away from lots of touristy types of properties.
