Nice cottage right on the water
Great place on the White River. Best trout fishing around right out your back door. Andrea is a great host who has thought of everything you could possibly need. This was our fourth stay at Wildcat cottage and we can’t wait to come back again.

Perfect stay for fishing on the White.
Two fishing buddies who make a yearly trip to fish a few days on the White. These few days off are always a big deal for us. We look forward to it every year. This cabin is perfect. After a day on the river, you can come back and fish some more. The host is very kind and friendly. Highly recommend.

OUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME!
This was our second stay and yet again Wildcat Cottage didn't disappoint! Even though it rained and stormed for most of our stay, we were still able to hit the river for some trout fishing in between storms. We always enjoy the scenery, wildlife, and walking up and down the banks of the river. The host Andrea is absolutely amazing! She always greets us with open arms and definitely makes us feel at home. We couldn't ask for a better host. She may not know it yet, but we've adopted her as part of the family. We will definitely be back for hopefully many more stays.

Million dollar view
Great location. Good fishing right in front. I recommend a boat rental and chest waders if you're serious about wanting to catch fish. Wildlife abounds. Lots of cool birds, squirrels and deer. Eagles are very common and a beaver frequented every night. Andrea is very attentive to your needs and wants. Super clean place with a million dollar view. We're already talking about coming back.

Fantastic Retreat
My wife and I just returned from a fantastic stay at Wildcat Cottage. For me it was my second time here. Last fall I stayed here with three fishing buddies and we all agreed we would be back. From the moment I arrived with my wife it exceeded her expectation even though I had told her previously how great the property was and also how incredible Andrea our host/ owner is . Aside from the cottage having all the comforts of home and then some its location is absolutely perfect . Being located on a beautiful stretch of the White River just upstream of Wildcat Shoal. You can spy brown trout that measure in feet cruise the gravel bar from your deck that overlooks the river . For anyone considering a trip to the White you will be hard pressed to find a better property and hostess . I highly recommend staying here

GRACIOUS HOST
Saw Bald Eagle take 14" trout. Saw Great Blue Heron swallow an 8" trout. { I caught several too.} Pileated Woodpeckers, Grosbeaks, Baltimore Orioles, Kingfishers, Indigo Buntings, Red-headed Woodpeckers, i.e. bird watcher's paradise. Access to Wildcat Shoals steps away. Get the picture yet? I went there to get away and fly fish - could not be happier! Cottage amenities best we ever had - anywhere. My bride of sixty-one years wants to go back. Enough Said? THANK YOU ANDREA!

This amazing location and host continue to exceed our expectations...Thank You!
Twice a year for the last four years, we have had the pleasure to visit and enjoy Wildcat Cottage. Andrea is the most thoughtful and genuine host, and she thinks of every small detail to make our trips memorable from her welcome note and basket, binoculars, replenished bird feeders, stocked wood piles and extra essentials in case we forget anything. It is very comforting and stress-free to know that the kitchen and bathrooms are fully stocked, so you really only need to bring food and clothes.Beyond the comfort of the cottage, I can't say enough about the location! From the beautiful, large deck with plenty of seating, shade and nice gas grills, you can walk down the short pathway and start fishing in minutes. You can walk along the easy to access shoreline, use your waders, or can walk or drive to the boat ramp down the street. You know you are in a great fishing location when the fishing guides regularly stop near your rental. I encourage others to take advantage of this comfortable, well-positioned cottage because you will certainly observe and enjoy nature while your worries float down the river. The best part of all is that you will meet a new friend, Andrea, as she easily impresses you with her hospitality and fun spirit.

Perfect Vacation Cabin (Location, Hosts Attention to Detail, and Outstanding Fishing)
I Highly Recommend you stay at this cabin! The highlights of this listing are location, hosts attention to detail in preparing the cabin to make your stay comfortable, and the outstanding fishing access. We had absolutely no problems with the cabin or any amenities. We were so pleased with our stay and our high expectations about the cabin were more than exceeded. The host contacted me by phone several days in advance and ensured I had all the information needed for my vacation and details about the cabin. Upon arrival, Andrea, the host, greeted us and made us all feel welcome and again gave us an opportunity to answer any questions we might have about the cabin or local area information. Right away, I checked out the fishing from the property; caught and released 16 Brown Trout within the first evening! We also enjoyed the views of the White River from the deck and got the amazing opportunity to see bald eagles catching trout from the river. The condition of the cabin interior and exterior was top notch, the kitchen was fully stocked and utensils were in outstanding condition, the living area, bathrooms, bedrooms, and outdoor spaces were also very well stocked and amenities in outstanding condition. This host really put a lot of thought and work into preparing this cabin for guests to enjoy and be a bit spoiled compared to other properties we have stayed at.

Home Away From Home
Staying at this cottage felt just like being at home, the only difference is our home doesn’t have the same spectacular views. We enjoyed everything about the property. The view from the back porch of the cottage is absolutely breathtaking. Have your camera ready so you can snap some pics of all the abundant wildlife. If you enjoy wade fishing, this is the spot. The four of us caught our limit daily. And, if you just enjoy catching and releasing, be prepared, because you will stay busy. Last but definitely not least, the hostess Andrea is the best. She is super helpful and extremely thoughtful. Upon arrival, she surprised us with a snack basket and birthday sweets from B’s Bakery. This act of kindness comes from the heart, and for that we are extremely grateful. We are very blessed to have had the opportunity to stay at this cottage. The only bad part about the entire trip was….Leaving!! Darris, Amanda, Dristen & Darrah Hill

Trout fishing paradise!
We love it here. This was our fifth visit to Wildcat cottage. The fishing is great, the views are so peaceful. Sitting on the deck watching the wildlife sipping our coffee as the mist rises off the water is just amazing. Andrea has thought of everything. It’s like being at home. She is a wonderful host and we will be back again soon.

Ambassador Class Ladies Retreat
The ladies in the Sunday School class enjoyed pictures of previous stays at Wildcat Cottage & insisted on coming for a week.We had a lovely time. I experienced the newness of the cabin & view through the eyes of the first-timers. Andrea did a wonderful job showing them around the cabin & introducing them to some of the highlights. The ladies learned how to trout fish with their guide & had caught their limit to take home.Andrea feeds the local birds & they did not disappoint as they flew in to partake of their treats & sing for the ladies. The bluff & the river views are spectacular at various times throughout the day. And the life of the fog as it accumulated above the river was an entertainment all its own.Andrea prepares the cabin for her visitors. It is very clean & well stocked. Bring your clothes, sit back & relax. Prepare meals for yourselves or go out to one of the local restaurants . . . Its your choice.

Wonderful scenic stay!
Andrea has thought of everything! This is my second time staying here and this time I was by myself just for a trip to relax. I feel extremely safe at her property and she has thought of so many things to help take care of her guests. Her cottage is extremely clean and well taken care of. She is available anytime you have a question and very responsive. The property is beautiful, right on the river. I saw so much wildlife this time especially. Eagles, heron, pileated woodpeckers, squirrels and many more. It's a great place to stay if you're a fisherman or just like exploring the area. You can put in your boat literally right up the road or go down to Cotter which is just a few miles away. Lots of people canoe and there's also the swimming hole to enjoy. It's a great property and I highly recommend it. I will be a returning guest because it feels like home.

Peaceful place for Trout Fishing on the White
This was our 3rd time staying at Wildcat Cottage and we will be back again! We absolutely love it here. The cabin is fully stocked. Andrea has literally thought of everything, it feels like home. The view from the dock is amazing, right on the water. We love sitting with our coffee watching the mist come off the river. The eagles are so majestic and nest in the trees right across the river. The trout fishing right in front of the house is the best around. Love it!
