« We had an extremely relaxing stay. The area is gorgeous…loved being close to the water. We brought our dog and it was great to let him run and play and just be a dog. Did have a few issues with a few appliances, but the host was super quick to bring a new remote and coffee pot. All in all we would stay again! »

« House was great and super comfortable/cute. within walking distance of Luray Main Street and all the restaurants we wanted to check out. Also only 5 min drive from the caverns. It is right across from a cemetery, which you can see from inside, looking out the windows. Just to be aware of if that’s not your style. Sheets were very soft and pillows were really nice. Everything - parking, check-in, check-out, location was super easy. And helped make for a great stay »

« A home away from home! We had a fabulous stay - doing day hikes in the national park (Thornton Gap is an easy 30min drive) and spending family time cooking, playing games in the evenings. We appreciated all the nice details Diana arranged for our stay. So glad we chose this location! »

« Everything was perfect! My only complaint is the kitchen was dirty and the dishwasher was full of water. Sticky counters and we kept the dishwasher closed. I'd still rate this home a 10 out of 10. Exceeded our expectations with location, amenities and space for multi generation families. space »

« This cabin was just 2 hours from us and the perfect hobbit-themed backdrop for my husband's surprise 40th birthday. He was thrilled when we pulled up to the hobbit house!! « We made a great choice in choosing the Riverfront Retreat for our Thanksgiving celebration. The large dining table fit our group and its close proximity to the kitchen made serving and cleanup a breeze. One bedroom is set apart from the others which worked perfectly for one couple who ducked out at 5am to catch a flight out of Dulles (about an hours drive) without disturbing others in the group. We enjoyed hiking in Seven Bends State Park and even toured the Shenandoah Caverns (a short drive)....

« This property is perfect. The interior, with its wood finish, gives off the perfect cabin vibe. The kitchen and dining room are spacious. There are many bedrooms with great beds. The game room downstairs is great for those who want to spend time inside. The patio outside with the firepit is absolutely a plus. I have never been in a place with a more beautiful view. « We had a great time at Mark's cabin in the wood of VA. Location we quiet and tranquill. Hot tub, five pit, and pool table made out time at the cabin enjoyable. Away from the cabin it was close to the National Park, Luray Caverns, and some cute small towns. »

« My extended family of 10 stay for the week. With 5 active kids ages 9-12 there was plenty of kayaks, tubes, and canoes for them to use. The river is calm in front of the house. Yes the hill to the water is steep but it wasn’t an issue for any of us. The porch rocking chairs on the screened porch was wonderful for drinking coffee and watching the river every morning. There’s a stack of firewood for the fire pit which is nice of the host to supply along with sticks (in the kitchen) for roasting...
