"Despite it being very low season and most of St Valery sur Somme being shut for annual holidays, we had a lovely time. We were aware beforehand that this was the case. We have stayed at this lovey Gite before and it was fabulous then. Situated in the heart of the town it has beautiful views over the bay and is a lovely cosy fisherman’s cottage. Great facilities and beautifully clean. The check in was as easy as always and we hope to stay again. Thank you."

"What a lovely spot. So peaceful with on the sounds of ducks cockerels and donkey’s for a bit of background atmosphere. Located in the French countryside with close local amenities. And most of the place we visited were only 30 mins drive away. Abbevile close with great train links to Paris where we spent a great day and Amiens just over an hour drive Was about 1 hour 30 mins drive to visit the world war 1 memorial sites, well worth the drive. "It was an excellent house. Wish I stayed there in the summer. Very well equipped and excellent communication with the owner. The house itself is beautiful. I loved everything. The fire place was lovely. The garden is massive and well kept. You could just there and enjoy the house and the garden without the need to go anywhere in the summer. The house is very close to some beautiful places as there is a lot to explore in the area. We would love to come back when the weather is nicer. "

"We had a really good stay and found the accommodation extremely good with the single exception of parking - this is complicated and not free (unless you want a 20 minute walk to your car) but, given how central it is, close to the square, shops and restaurants, this wasn't a problem. There are lots of great walks and a trip on the railway is a must! The owners have prepared a very detailed and comprehensive set of guides, so everyone will find something they like. Highly recommended."

"Lovely clean property in good location. Our teenagers however were forced to share a room as the owner had blocked off the upper floor. Prior to staying I declined the cleaning package in writing, however the owner tried to add it to the bill when we were leaving."

"Très bon séjour dans l’ensemble et équipement adapté à un joli week-end. La vue de la chambre est belle et la façade « petite maison de pêcheur » est charmante. Emplacement idéal à Saint Valéry sur Somme avec une excellente boulangerie en bas de la rue. Petit bémol : l’équipe de nettoyage est arrivé à 9h55 le dimanche, pour une heure de départ à 10h. J’étais à l’heure mais encore en train de ranger mes dernières affaires et j’ai trouvé que c’était un peu abrupte comme fin de séjour… "

Communication très agréable avec la propriétaire ainsi que la personne qui se charge de l’accueil (gentillesse, renseignements sur la ville, ponctualité, prévenance). "The excellent property was in the position that we required, was well introduced by the gentleman we met, and offered everything that we had hoped for - EXCEPT perhaps the apartment needs one comfortable single armchair (fauteuil confortable). My heart condition means that I have to sit upright and the lounge/bed did not provide me with any back support, so I had to sit in a dining chair. We very much enjoyed meeting M. et Mme Guilbert and their grand-daughter. What lovely people!"

"The grounds are amazing - so much space, lots of chairs, great outside dining area and a fantastic pool! The kitchen is small but fully equipped. Beds are comfy (except plastic mattress protectors). For us the room layout was an issue. The two twin beds are actally family rooms with double beds in, not separate as it looks like in the listing photos, which are very misleading. This was frustrating for us as we had to have three children in our room - we had booked here to avoid that happening....

Absolutely brilliant hotel

"What a brilliant find, we will definitely vusit this hotel again andxsoread the word amongst family and friends. Room was unbelievable the decor, facilities and comfort top notch. The reception staff very friendky, informative and helpful. Our only complaint was it says 'free parking' but it didnt say its limited availability and the info aftervwe booked stated free parking this needs to be changed on the Hotels information, fortunately it wasn't a problem as there was parking nearby."

Its all about the welcome

"Stayed here as the last leg of our road trip through europe before bost home. Wanted a relaxing spa hot tub etc. The place looks amazing on way up drive. But the welcome leaves a lot to be desired. The outdoor pool was nice but felt like no one owed it and not sure if we were suposed to be there. The spa was shut so no hot tub. Felt a bit like you should be privileged to be there. Shae really because the venue is amazing"
