« I planned on spending my birthday in happy valley and searched all over for a place, then I found Lakewood cottage. I talked it over with the other couple that came with and it was an easy yes for the 4 of us. The place wasn’t far from the stadium and easy to get to. It was clean and tidy and overall an amazing stay for the weekend. We would definitely stay here again. »

« Great property, great stay at a very nice cottage. We visited for the weekend for Penn State’s homecoming. Close to the stadium, easy access to I-99 and plenty of food options w/in 3 miles. Two bedrooms w/king size beds and a couch w/a trundle. Very comfortable w/TV, patio, firepit, and charcoal grill. The worse part of the weekend was the non-stop rain on game day. »

« This is a remodeled small home up against a mountain near the river. Serene view of water from porch. Right next to a 2 lane road. Can get some busy moments of automobiles. The owners do make efforts to provide a comfortable stay with linens, hair dryers, soaps, signage, tv. All noted in listing. Very easy to communicate with them. »

« The owners were excellent hosts. Great value for the price. Located in nice neighborhood. Loved the rustic wood floor and antiques. Clean and warm. Owners kept the kitchen stocked with tea and coffee. Very “homey” feel. The open bathroom wasn’t a big issue for us since we stayed with family. Less expensive than any other hotels in the area, especially on a game weekend. »

« While visiting my son who is a student at Penn State we stayed at this lovely home. The house was super clean and fresh, the kitchen and bathrooms were filled with everything you need, and the living room was very warm and comfortable. Distance to school wasn't as close as I thought (will need car to go back and forth) but well worth the drive. I will definitely be back! »
