"I was nervous to book a non-chain hotel as I wasn’t sure what to expect but we really enjoyed our stay. We booked two rooms as we were traveling with 3 teens and the staff was very good about communicating with us about our request for connecting rooms. I was worried when they said we were on the ground floor, but it was very quiet. The staff was also helpful and accommodating with other requests and information. The first time the kids used the pool it had rained and all the furniture around the pool was soaked. A staff member came out and offered to dry off a couple chairs so my husband and I could sit and enjoy our morning tea by the pool. The rooms were clean. The bathrooms were small but there was storage for toiletries. The beds were very soft, which may appeal to some and not to others who need a more firm mattress. There were a lot of nice touches with milk and cookies (Oreos) in the evening and tea and coffee in the morning, although they ran out of English Breakfast tea for the last two mornings of our stay. The kids enjoyed the pool and all gaming options in the lobby. The arcade game could’ve used a wipe down as it was always covered in dirty fingerprints that made it tough to see the screen. We didn’t end up using the bikes, we found most things very walkable. The area seemed safe and quiet, although one evening we walked about 12 minutes away to pick up food and witnessed a man defecating in the street! All and all we were happy and would stay again. "

"Someone knocked on my door at 2am. Very random. The exit gate was broken so anyone could come in and out."

"Front desk staff was excellent- friendly and helpful. Liked walking around the pond. Not a lot of stores or restaurants within walking distance so if you’re not driving, then gotta taxi or Uber "
