It was a very comfortable property. The staff was friendly and professional at all times. the hotel is under renovation, so there was more noise and difficulty with elevators at times. The hotel is located in a very walkable, safe area. We would definitely go back and stay again.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Christopher, we knew our Montreal min-break was off to a great start! We appreciated the spacious room, the comfortable "living room" in the lobby with coffee, infused water, and fruit always available.

The hotel staff were great, I think there is just some maintenance/repair pains at the moment in the building/area and with older tech being used in the hotel. Some examples of this are: - Only one of the elevators was working for several of the days we were there, because of ongoing construction - My daughters room was not adjacent to mine, despite both rooms being booked at the same time - The rooms were not the same despite both being the same price (One had a balcony, one didn't) - The AC did not work correctly in one of the rooms, so one room was ~27 degrees and the other ~21 degrees - We had to get new key cards several times because having them anywhere near magsafe phones wipes them, there are no NFC or app-based access to the suites - The elevators were often filled with construction crew from the ongoing maintenance - No complimentary breakfast of any kind - The path to the entrance of the hotel is small and poorly maintained - The entrance to the hotel doubles as the entrance to the terrace restaurant, making getting in more difficult than it needs to be Despite all of this, I loved my stay, and really enjoyed my time in Old Montreal. Resolving some of these issues would have elevated the stay from great to phenomenal

Lovely hotel, excellent staff but one elevator was in serious need of upgrading. Hallway carpets were ugly and in bad shape. One of the workers at the hotel told us the hotel el was closing after the summer season and an upgrade os planned. Wish we had known about the coming upgrade we would have stayed somewhere else.
