The entire home has been remodeled right down to the studs! First floor master bedroom with its own gorgeous master bathroom! Three good size bedrooms upstairs with full bathroom! Additional first floor half bathroom. Very open floor plan with a beautiful new kitchen with granite counters! The great room has vaulted ceilings with a wall of glass to enjoy the lake views! Grab a drink and a cigar and enjoy the 600 sq. ft. wrap around deck! We have our own private dock for your boat or toys as well as a public boat launch right down the street! Our home is perfect for ALL seasons as well as deer hunters during the seasons for Ohio, Michigan and Indiana! An assortment of water toys including, two kayaks, a HUGE 21'' raft that supports 14 adults, life jackets & floaties are provided to our guest! We are also only 4 minutes away from a day of hiking the beautiful Lake La Su An State Park! TRUE LAKEFRONT ENJOYMENT!**Beautiful pontoon available for rent**. **Please note that we want everyone to enjoy their stay at our home but if you are hoping to have a big party, please choose another home. Great spot for relaxing and taking in a beautiful view, while spending quality time together with our adult kids. Made use of both the indoor gas fireplace as well as the fire pit outside. Played board games & lots of fun fishing too!

Lakehouse Peace
Took my 92 year old Dad for a little peaceful fishing with some family. Cleanest place we've ever stayed. Got to check in early and owners answered any questions immediately. Kitchen was well stocked. Can't wait to go back and do it again.

Wonderful Lake House
We had a wonderful time. The house was clean and right on the lake. We rented the a boat for a day. Which was great since it was a little too cold swim. Also having the kayaks was awesome. We even made it all the way around the lake on them.

Nettle Lake Lakehouse
We stayed at the Nettle Lake Lakehouse as our oldest son was graduating from high school. It was a beautiful and very clean property. There is a little store about a 5 minute walk from the house that has everything! The house was equipped with everything that we didnt. Our only suggestion would would be to put curtains in all of the bedrooms. There were blinds in the master bedroom but it got super bright in there in the am. One of the 3 bedrooms upstairs had curtains. Overall very beautiful place and we would definately stay again!!

Clean & roomy, great outdoor space.
House was clean, everything was comfortable, and we had a great time! Couple of things would have made it perfect: ladder or stairs to get in/out of water; dresser & side tables in all rooms; better internet (some of us had to work/study and connection was spotty. Also neighbors partied loudly until 3am on our last night, making 9:30am checkout difficult.

Pretty Property on the Lake
Excellent view of the lake. The house has everything you could want. The kitchen is well appointed, comfy beds, nice linens and the house is super clean. We were there in the fall and did not take full advantage of the lake but used the cozy fireplace and snuggled in for family bonding. There is a convenience store very near for forgotten supplies and the boat launch is close. ## the house is nicer than the photos

Great house on a small lake
This vacation we looked for something that was close to home. We found this gem on Nettle Lake and couldn't have been happier about it. It had everything we were looking for in a summer rental. There was no internet service to the house, but that didn't matter. Cell phone reception was lacking too, but that wasn't the owners' fault. We definitely added this house to our list of places we would visit again.

Great Lake House
This was the second year in a row we stayed at this house. It is the perfect location and sits right on hte lake with a large firpit and beautiful deck with plenty of seating. It has all the amenities! The owners ensured it was super clean and left us with all of the items necessary to try to keep COVID at bay. We love having access to the Kayaks, the dock and the big blue island! The owners were always keep to respond and understanding of our COVID related questions. We love everything about his house!

A Hidden Gem
The usual 5 star rating doesn't even begin to measure up to the accommodations we encountered during our stay on Nettle Lake. From the moment we walked through the doors and saw the lake view from the large glass windows, cleanliness, well appointed amenities and warm welcome from the neighbors - we felt we had come home! The pictures on the website do not convey the comfortable beds, large bathrooms or cozy furniture. Mike and Sue were most attentive AND playful in any correspondence we had with them. Our annual retreat was restful, adventurous (thanks to the kayaks and pontoon rides) and one to add to our treasure trove due to your warm hospitality in hosting us. We are forever grateful. John, Tom and Shirley P.S. Who would have ever thought hitchhiking on a boat dock would result in a pontoon ride???

Disliked: Communication
Beautiful house but difficult host
House was lovely and as described. I was shocked to get an email from the host after we left stating that he was keeping our entire deposit. His reasons were that additional cleaning was needed due to crumbs on the table and floor. Also complained that towels and trash were not put in their proper place when he gave NO INSTRUCTIONS on where to leave the towels and trash when the small outside trash can is full. We assume since we pay a cleaning fee that our not sweeping the floors and wiping down the counters is not a problem. He also cited a tear in his raft. It had a two foot tear when we got it. I feel like if he is going to let guests use it, he has to expect it to tear more. We left it in a very usable condition, the tear was just a little longer. The screws in the dock ladder were coming out when we left. My six year old daughter was the one using it, and not misusing it. Host said it was a new ladder and it seems it wasn't installed well. All this to say, VRBO allowed him to charge us a large amount for extra cleaning costs and we have been a week so far with VRBO trying to resolve this issue. VRBO seems to just let owners charge guests whatever extra fees they want and it is very hard to get VRBO to investigate it. I would not trust this host.

“Testing the waters” for our kids
We were looking for a nice, well kept, clean lake home for our family of 4 and Mike and Sue’s property did not disappoint. My wife isn’t much for camping so having clean bathrooms/showers is a must. Our kids had a fear of boats from slightly traumatic experience they had their first time riding on a boat a few years back, so this vacation was a “test” to see if I could get them back into loving the lake life as I always did in my younger years. The ease of renting the pontoon available through Makin Waves as part of the booking process and the boat being docked for us and ready upon arrival was just perfect too. Everything I could’ve asked for to make this trip go exactly how I needed and wanted it to go went exactly how I’d hoped it would. The house is beautiful. It comes equipped with plenty of water toys, has a nice oversized floating doc ( we caught bluegill off the doc non-stop!). The yard was big enough for us to play corn hole and volleyball and is shaded by trees that don’t block the view of the lake. The deck is spacious and plenty of space inside with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, it’s updated with nice furnishings and the overall booking/communication was perfect. I also liked the secluded area in the north bay of Nettle lake that is designated no-wake at all times for swimmers and fishing. It was calm and I disturbed all day, which you don’t get at other sporting lakes. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family, we had an amazing vacation here.

Everything we hoped for!
From the time we booked this property we were never less than happy. The expectations were clearly stated from the start which was no problem. We rented with 2 families, including 4 kids, and it exceeded our expectations in cleanliness, needs, and overall experience of a lakehouse. The lake was very private and the rules of the lake were provided from the start which we appreciated. The neighbors were friendly but not invasive. The home was nicer than the pictures described, and the owners were very detailed on directions, parking, accessing the home, and responsive to anything we needed. A few suggestions would be stepstools for the bathrooms for kids to access the sinks, kids plastic plates/utensils, shades/curtains for the bedrooms that receive the direct sunrise in the morning, and basic toiletries such as tissues, plastic bags/wrap, chairs for the lawn/bonfire area, and a better path to the dock. Maybe some pieces of wood or something to prevent walking through the mud to/from the house and boat. Due to the high waters the grass near the dock was very muddy, so it was mud to/from the boat/house, and with kids we were constantly having to wash them. It was so wet and muddy we all had to walk along the seawall and 2 kids fell into the water. It wasn't the owners' fault, but just a suggestion for future renters to avoid having people walk on the seawall. Overall the owners were very helpful when we were looking for firewood and anything we needed and this house was great! We would definetely rent again. Thank you for such a great weekend!
