"To start with the (only a few) positives: - The property manager was forthcoming and friendly. - Location of the property is ok: Elafonisos is 10 minutes by car + 10 minutes by ferry away; Kastania cave, Petrified forest and Monemvasia are all 30-40 minutes away. "We just came back from a 6 -day holiday in Skala with our 3 children (19, 16, 11) and we had an amazing time. The house, the setting, the beach, the facilities...everything is just perfect. I would highly recommend this house for a family with older kids or a group of friends. So if you are looking for calm, access to your own deserted sandy beach, family time., your own pool/table tennis/volley ball court...this is the place ! The difficult road to access the property is a very small price...

"An amazing home in the Peloponnese! This is a great home for a family. There is lots of room, the kids enjoyed the pool, 10 minutes from nearby Gythio which has great restaurants and shopping right on the water, as well as surrounding beaches!! Highly recommend this home !!"

"Eleni, die Vermieterin empfing uns und wies uns in die Besonderheiten des Hauses ein. Sie gab uns auch noch ein paar Tips wo wir Essen gehen könnten. Das Haus entsprach zu 100% der Beschreibung im Internet, nur in Natura ist es noch schöner. Wir genossen die Ruhe vor Ort und die wunderbare Aussicht von der oberen Terrasse. Die Betten waren sehr gut und es befanden sich in jedem Schlafzimmer noch Topper zum unterlegen. Gythio ist eine kleine Stadt mit vielen Restaurant und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten....

"This is a nice property in Monemvasia but we did experience a few problems. The electricity went out multiple times and we were initially asked to work around their schedule for check-in time. Communication with the management was unpleasant and some untruths were told by them. Not sure whether this was an isolated event or a pattern. Perhaps others will have a better experience than we did. Nice looking property though."

"5 stars! The Elea Mare is a fabulous value in an authentic Greek coastal village, run by a host (Greg) who personifies customer care. We can’t praise him enough for the warmth of his interactions with us! As an example, our young-adult daughter became mildly sick during our stay, and Greg provided tea and offered to check up on her when we left her in the hotel by herself for half a day. The hotel is a short walk from a small beach and town harbor and near several excellent dining options....
