Tides of Tops'l 1008  is the perfect beachfront condo providing a huge oversized balcony on the 10th floor; 1008 offers an astounding view of the Gulf of Mexico with its sugar, white beach, and Destin skyline!  
The newer renovated kitchen is equipped to make great meals and is updated with stainless steel appliances, new cabinetry, granite countertops, and a raised breakfast bar. The dining table seats four people very comfortably. The living room has a large flat-screen HDTV across from comfortable sofas to sprawl out on. Lounge, eat, and kick back on your private balcony day or night – accessible from the living room.
 The master bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed to dive into and an en-suite bathroom containing a walk-in shower with dual vanity.
 The guest bedroom has two beds, one full-size bed and one twin-size bed, and cozy closet space. The guest bathroom has two entries from the hallway and one from the guest bedroom.
TOPS'L is a tranquil beach and racquet resort located in Miramar Beach, South Walton, just 10 miles east of Destin, in the Miramar Beach area of Northwest Florida. It offers the peace of a location off the beaten path while still having the conveniences of city attractions just a few minutes' drive away. Situated on 52 private acres, this full-service resort is bordered by the beautiful beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and a nature preserve. So, without ever getting in the car, guests here can choose from beach fun, tennis time, or outdoor recreation exploring the area's natural beauty.
Effective January 1, 2023, Tops'l Beach and Racquet Resort's Master Association charges a $38 guest registration fee to all guests.

Our family enjoyed the condo as the location fit well on the beach and fit well with accessing local stores. The unit provided ample space for a family of four and also provided easy access to the beach/pool areas.

Almost perfect!
Check in was super easy. Attention and response from management was impressively good. Amazing location. Spacious unit for my family of 5, with everything we could need. AC worked great. Beach was insanely beautiful at that spot. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is the not so good living room furniture, the upholstery was dirty, and when you sat down you sank too low. I think it’d be time to renovate those accent chairs and sofa. Same thing with balcony furniture, it wasn’t too clean… Everything else was in great shape, super clean and made our stay one of the nicest we had in long time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a wonderful time staying at the Tides. The rental felt like a home and not just a hotel room. The property also had miniature golf and other recreational spaces with equipment to use. It was easy to acquire chairs with umbrellas for beach sitting. Views from our balcony of the Gulf was spectacular. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to relax by ocean, however we had one disappointment. We would have given this property all 5’s in every category had it not been for the very disappointing appearance of our balcony as we entered our room. The cushions on the large settee grouping were jumbled and tossed all over the place and they had large black markings and handprints on them. That was not a welcoming look at all. We never felt comfortable using any of the cushioned furniture, we never touched it, and we left it all exactly as we found it. We tried to notify 3 different people of the issue but nothing was done to clean the furniture while we were there. Fortunately the balcony had two wooden rocking chairs and that’s all we used. Other than the appearance of the balcony upon our arrival with the jumbled dirty cushions on the furniture and which looked nothing like the advertised picture, everything else about the property was nice, clean, comfortable and looked welcoming.

Tides 1008 Swept Us Away!
We came for a short family stop on our way West and stumbled upon this jewel! Super easy directions for location and check-in. This condo was clean and shiny and the freshest smell. Other condos in this building still have that beach smell (mildewy) but this one was a breath of fresh air when we walked in! The decor was cute and the beds were comfortable. The best thing about this condo was the huge balcony and the living room was big too....the combination of the two was so roomy! We loved staying here and will want to come back again for a longer vacay! The management was super helpful and attentive! We'll be baaaaack!

Great location, great set up for young kids, would stay again!
We had a great week! Easy touch less check in, and the property had plenty of carts to bring baggage up to room. Cleaned well to the eye, but not clean at all under beds or furniture. We have young ones, so when toys rolled under these, there were many dust bunnies/trash/crumbs from previous guests. But, all areas you’d normally see were clean. Easy to get to beach and pool, and the building is at the end of a stretch of high rises, so you can escape the packed beach by walking a bit farther down the beach to the East. 5 min to Publix grocery store and many other stores/shopping. Easy access from 98 (don’t have to negotiate the traffic on 30A). Good ocean view and sound view from balcony (balcony faces west). Good modern appliances in kitchen and necessary cooking utensils. Didn’t see a blender, so bring one if that’s something you need. Also, bring dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, and trash bags. (there provide a little but not enough for a week). Building has a trash chute from each floor, so no lugging trash down the elevator! Beautifully updated master shower with detachable sprayer, granite countertops, and stone shower. Definitely a highlight after a day on the beach. We would definitely stay again!

Disgusting
We've been coming here for years. We have never experienced issues like this, anywhere. The management company was unprofessional beyond belief. After driving 16 hours we arrived to a condo with bedding that was stained with urine, blood spots on the pillow case and brown splatter marks from the toilet to the sink in the bathroom. On the bathroom rugs there was dropped toothpaste and more brown splatter marks. Hopefully this review will allow me to share the photos I took upon arrival. When we contacted the management company she was intoxicated and told us no one could bring any new bedding until the following day. My mom and I went to Walmart for cleaning supplies, pillows and towels. We cleaned the unit ourselves after going back and forth with her for hours. She had her husband drive her over at 10:40 PM to give us bedding. We had traveled all day with 2 kids, had not eaten dinner and she showed up drunk beyond belief letting us know she left her plans and the boat she was on to bring us bedding like it was our fault her night was interrupted. We were told they would send someone out to clean the following day, there was no follow up. When we called she did not remember and we had to go over everything again. Being asked to not leave a review was the cherry on top of this nightmare of a vacation. The paragraph they have on the listing about their "disinfecting and cleaning" policy you should disregard every word. The silverware in the drawers was not washed, chewed food was on the side of the bar stool and some sort of smoothie looking liquid was left running down the cabinet.

Loved it!
We loved our first stay at Tops’l Tides!! It definitely won’t be our last!! Everything was great, just like pictured and explained! It had a true resort feel! Location was great! If I had to complain about something (this is very minor) it would be the key pad on the pool gate to enter and exit was quite finicky, but not a deal breaker by any means! Overall, everything was top notch! Our room was great! The facility itself was spotless!

Lovely Week

The description and pictures were a perfect representation of the unit. I was concerned about the cleanliness of the condo given the new pandemic world we live in. I did not have to be. The place smelled clean and was spotless. The LR and bedrooms were spacious. The balcony was large with a lovely view of the beach (though it was angled). The kitchen itself is tight, but we made do. The building is steps from the beach and also has 2 pools. We mainly went to the beach. They also have basketball and tennis courts. Everyone we encountered were super nice. We would go back in a heartbeat and recommend this unit.

Destin Getaway group
The site was wonderful but Destin Getaway “could not get out of their own way” Poor customer service. Multiple calls either got lost or were not answered Hit my credit card before I even got to the resort. I finally got someone and they said they were sorry but if I had called a day sooner they could have helped me.lol Reservation lost. Could not get through security because they didn’t send the information to them No entry key to get into the room. Finally got someone to send it almost 2 hours after we arrived

Pretty unit- AWFUL service

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this unit directly through the site. The pictures were exactly what we got. Beautiful view with a well appointed 2/2 condo. However, what you can’t tell in pictures is that the unit’s thermostat was preprogrammed (nest) and you could not override the part where it drops to 66 EVERY NIGHT. What you couldn’t tell from the pictures is that the pool code sent in your welcome documents was wrong and you’d spend the entire week calling and asking for a new code to no avail. What you can’t HEAR is the jack hammering that started at 9 am on Thursday and was SO LOUD in our unit that we literally couldn’t hear one another speak. Or the refrigerator that sounded like a lawn mower 24/7 unless you went and held the side of it. We decided to check out a day early after I finally got ahold of someone at the management office and all she would do is say “oh I’m sorry”.... so sorry that we were leaving early that she sent the cleaning lady to change over our unit WHILE WE WERE STILL PACKING UP. These things are almost laughable now. But it’s been two months. No one has breathed a word of it to us. The email I sent remains unanswered. So an invite to write a review??! You betcha.

We were very disappointed that we couldn’t use the balcony as there was no furniture as it showed in the pictures. Not even a chair to sit on to enjoy coffee out there. The walk is also very far to the beach. We will definitely find somewhere else to stay next time.

Disappointed in Tides 1008

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been staying at the Tides at Tops’l for at least 20 years. This year we decided to try a different unit, Tides 1008. We thought that Tides 1008 might become our favorite because it has been updated and has a beautiful updated master bath. We were very disappointed and frustrated because we could not control the temperature in the condo. The owners have limits and timers set on the temperature control. If you like to sleep with the temp on 74 and be hot, then rent 1008. The kitchen is very nice, but there is not enough light in the kitchen. It is dark, again an energy saving trick by the owners with too energy efficient light bulbs in the light fixture in the kitchen. There needs to be a small dress or table in master bedroom and a small table or bench in master bath by counter space is limited. Need luggage racks to put luggage on in bedrooms. We paid too much to rent this condo to not be able to control the temperature, at least control within a range (68-72) at anytime, and to have a dark kitchen.
