"the room was comfortable but the whole property was quite clean though quite shabby and the bathroom was damp and there wasn't enough toilet roll and no spares available. the bed was comfortable and bedding clean and fresh. If you think that you are getting the place to yourself as the advert suggests then do not be fooled as you are not. That being said it was pretty quiet other than take away being delivered at 11pm and being in the room next to the front door. The location was really good...

"The property is as advertised except for the “patio.” I’m not sure that is really accurate as it is a small pad at the back of the property, not really a place to sit or anything like that. The neighborhood is fine, a short walk to/from restaurants, etc. The house was comfortable for two couples. We had to find the router in order to find the network and password. Also, it may have been our error but we could not get the towel warmers to work."

"Our stay was great! The owners were very responsive - we only had one towel when we checked in but they got us some more very quickly. They sent over recommendations as well prior to. It was easy to find and the street parking is plenty. We were on the other side of the river of downtown Belfast but was still easy to walk to, about a 20 min walk. Everything was great and the decor added a nice touch. Side note: that the neighborhood has a bunch of food places but are cash only. Not a major...

"We came to Ireland for a weekend break and to show our dogs at Belfast show. We were delighted with our accommodation and feel if we could give it more than 5 stars we would. The place was lovely and the extra touches were so welcome. Lovely pastry's and plenty of cereal a full fruit bowl and the lovely fresh eggs were great. Fresh juices and milk and many other extras made this a very comfortable stay and one we definitely hope to repeat in the future "

"What a find! This stunning house on the sea front surpassed our expectations. Spacious, spotless and scenic. Michael’s communication with us was spot on and we even had option of early check in and late check out. I would not hesitate to return as the location was also fabulous! Lots of lovely places to eat around and we were very fortunate with the weather for January so could enjoy the beautiful views and the hot tub! Perfect weekend!"

"We had a fabulous stay at Ashside Cottage. We were welcomed by Richard and Caroline who gave us a tour of the house and filled us in on places of interest in and around the area. The cottage was beautiful with parts dating from 16th century. It had everything we needed, including home baked bread. The house itself is in some need of refurbishment- stained and flaking paintwork. Damaged flooring and furniture. Front door is difficult to lock and unlock. In terms of equipment it is very poorly appointed. This property should host 4 people there were only 3 plates, no spoons, 1 saucepan, no bottle opener - I could continue. There is an iron but no ironing board....
