"We were searching for a nice setting to spend an extended weekend with our UA student. I wanted to be able to cook his favorite meal and relax on a couch afterwards to watch some favorite movies. A place that would give us that "at home" feel, if only for a few days. After searching the VRBO site, we found the beautiful and affordable Southern Shore Cottage. In fact, this spacious rental cost less than some of the nicest hotels in town! A favorite part of the weekend was enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck early morning and taking in the lake view and sounds of nature. It was absolute bliss! The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary amenities. My son's roommates joined us for dinner and there were ample dishes, glassware, etc., to accommodate our group. The bedding and towels in the bedrooms rival luxury hotel standards. The primary bedroom upstairs includes a large ensuite bathroom. The downstairs bedrooms are HUGE and share another spacious bathroom. (The mattresses in the bedrooms were all extremely comfortable, as well!) This rental offers a lot of privacy and would be an excellent choice for families sharing a rental. Tanner, the homeowner, was very helpful and responsive from the moment we booked our stay. We highly recommend this amazing property and hope to visit again soon! "

"We had a fantastic time during our stay at your Northwood Lake Retreat!!There were a couple of issues but the host (Tanner) was great to work with and was very responsive to our requests/needs and he made everything right. The space was beautifully updated and we very much enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for us to have all three of our adult kids stay with us (including their significant others) and my elderly mother and all the family pets.
