"Both rooms were immaculately clean. The first room had a lovely big bath and the second a spacious shower. Beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect for the town and the seafront. Parking is non existent, pot luck if you can find something outside or a near by street. Didn’t feel a warm welcome from staff like others have felt, breakfast on the second morning was disappointing and staff were not friendly nor attentive. "

"Generally a good experience, but with reservations. A hotel of character, much nicer than bland city tower blocks, but ready for overall refurbishment. Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. "Fabulous! A truly relaxing home from home, with friendly and professional staff. We appreciated the quiet of our room ( we didn’t hear other guests), it's draftproofed sash window with view over the seashore, along with a comfortable bed and sufficient space in the room to be at ease. We really enjoyed the warm, cosy and relaxed atmosphere downstairs , the character of the place and tasteful interiors, and last, but not least, the delightful christmas tree in the dining area!
