"We stayed at the Banyan cottage and it was lovely. Up on a hill, very private. It had screens so no need to worry about bugs. The cooking area was nicely done so that you could cook breakfast easily. The property is gorgeous and you really feel like you're in the middle of the rainforest by yourself. Very relaxing. We ate in the restaurant on site (you need to let them know you're coming) and the meals were fantastic. The owner is great and wants to be sure everything is acceptable. A great...

"Calibishie is about beaches so why not stay in a wonderful villa overlooking the beach? This villa is great and you should stay here if it is available. Glorious sunrise views over Hodge's beach from your bedrooms and the terraces - you can walk down the path to get this beach and you probably will be alone there as it is very quiet. The villa is clean and big and functional and well managed locally. Thanks Kelvin! No complaints at all and we will gladly stay here again. "

"Sunset Vista: Vrbo Feedback The property has a rustic charm and is set in one of the hillsides of Canefield, filled with the artwork of the owner. Willie and Ali the managing team were brilliant. They were there to greet us although our flight arrived late and were very responsive when issues arose such as the water company suspending the water supply. Willie and Ali were also a great source of information and advice. The facilities are comfortable with air conditioning on the upper level. ...

"AMAZING! Nichi could not have been more friendly or helpful. One of a kind place and host. Beautiful place, inside and out, with tons of character. We even saw humpback whales from the deck that overlooks the bay. Incredible location, complete with a private swimming hole, friendly neighbors who gave me a fist bump on my morning walks, and a delicious fish meal provided by Nichi on our first night. We didn't want to leave this unique place and island."

On the positive side, the beds were comfy, the showers were great, and the location near a charming village was a big plus with a longer drive to amenities in the south. "We had a great week of relaxation and low-key local tourism. The house was solidly built, clean and secure - could have had a few more utensils etc in the kitchen, but functional. We explored the area by local bus, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Trevor, our host, could not have been more helpful. The view, and sunrises, were splendid."

"The house is new and very clean. Ideally located near Mero and between Portsmouth and Roseau. We'll appointed kitchen. Lots of supplies (towels, kitchen stuff, bed linen, etc). Very quiet neighborhood with security cameras, lights and a steel gate entry for peace of mind. Owner was very responsive with query. Definitely the best place to stay in Dominica so far."

"Narrissa, the property manager was very responsive and helpful. The apartment was very clean, big and comfortable. We loved the pool, which we had to ourselves. There was also a jacuzzi, which was turned on for us whenever we wanted. There was a bakery about a 5 minute walk away and you could walk to town of Roseau and botanical gardens in 10-15 minutes. There was private, free parking on the property. Very good value for money."

"This is a beautiful and quiet property. The on-site restaurant provides a delicious breakfast. It is about an hour's drive from most attractions but is much more peaceful than staying in Roseau. Like most beaches in Dominica, this one is not swimable. This property is relatively isolated, so we ate most of our dinners there as well. The food is tasty and portions are large. "

"This is in an idyllic forest setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fun and tasty. There is parking outside and across the road. WiFi is great. It's the opposite of quiet but the noises are rainforest sounds and cattle, which is restful in a different way. The rooms are pretty basic and a little tired but have everything you need. It's convenient for the airport and river but there is no hiking near to the property. "

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Pagua Bay House. The property is close to the airport and has convenient parking. The room was clean, the bed was soft, the shower was huge, the pool was refreshing and everything sits on a beautiful cliff overlooking the ocean. The onsite restaurant and bar had great food and drinks as well. We will return for sure. Highly recommend!!"
