"Beware, photos can be deceiving - this apt is very worn out and a bit rustic throughout. And that’s not the worst part, though the apt is swept cleaned, the furnishings are dirty with a lot of food stains in the sofa and rugs. We had to wear socks to avoid getting black feet. Our stay was for two days - when we checked in, the apt was very warm, the patio door was left wide opened without any screen door to cool the place down but then a lot of flies and mosquitoes came in and we spent the...

Unit is in a prior commercial or retail space so not best outside appeal but was quiet and safe while we were there 2 days. Other units in the building. Good value. Clean and comfortable. "

"Great location. Lots of fun places to eat within walking distances, superstore, liquor store, pubs coffee shops!! Washer & Dryer were great onsite and very convenient for us. Beds were cozy. Kitchen amenities are basic but that’s all you need. Parking was a breeze too. "

"Clean, quiet and sunny attic apartment. Communication was poor among the many subcontractors; signed a contract that was the revealed to say only 'TBD', no welcoming e-mail with door code until I asked for it the day of our arrival, welcoming e-mail had a very negative tone with its list of charges for infractions of the rules including not separating the recycling properly, my single request for an extra 2 mugs and if possible a teapot went unanswered. We are responsible senior travellers and...

Best Hotel Downtown Halifax

"Sutton Place is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The hotel is clean and private. We stay at a lot of hotels and this one is definitely one of the best ones that downtown Halifax has to offer. Just a sidenote - when parking on site, you’re not permitted to have studs on your tires as they damage the floor in the underground parking. Just something we wish we would have known ahead of time. Again, the staff was extremely accommodating. "
