The Toasted Marshmallow is a perfect staycation/vacation cottage, welcoming guests to stay on a 68 acre tree farm with 6 Nigerian dwarf goats, 5 sheep & three chubby dogs.

The farm was recently quoted by Vinton Soil Water Conservation as a wildlife mecca, perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature & relax. Various species of birds, hawks, owls, deer, wild turkeys, geese & occasional bobcat may be spotted.

Great stay after hiking
Nice little place, great hot tub and even supplied firewood for a bonfire! We got to see the goats and sheep as well as two dogs welcomed us when we sat by the bonfire at night.

We had the best stay at this little cottage! Loved the hot tub and the goats. The location was a little far from Hocking Hills but we didn’t mind the drive. Very peaceful and nice getaway :)

Great place to stay
The hosts were excellent- very prompt in helping when needed. The animals were friendly and fun. The inside of the house is well decorated and tidy. Not too far from the Hocking Hills attractions we went to see. Overall, great place to stay.

Great Getaway!
We enjoyed our stay at the Toasted Marshmallow! I was particularly excited for the goats and lambs. Justin was quick to respond when we had a need/question which we deeply appreciated. McArthur was a little further from the Hocking Hills hiking than we maybe wanted but the quiet cabin and hot tub were nice for our relaxing trip.

Perfect spot after hiking
This was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking. It was clean, comfortable, and romantic. We loved seeing the kittens, goats, dogs, and turkey. We watched a beautiful sunset from the private hot tub. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful, Peaceful Getaway
This place was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was cute, comfortable, and clean. It was stocked with basic essentials for your stay. The hot tub on the back deck added so much to the relaxing environment. Being surrounded by fields and animals gave such a peaceful and remote vibe. The goats were so fun to pet! The hosts were wonderful and their dogs came to visit and hang out with out plenty of times. We would highly recommend a stay here!

Cozy romantic getaway spot
The cabin was a perfect choice for my girlfriend and I to relax and unwind after a long day of hiking. The hosts were quick to respond if we happened to need anything and seemed to genuinely care about the quality of our stay. We were thrilled with our stay and will definately return next time we stay in that area.

Cutest little cabin, it was perfect for what it was booked for! We just went out to hocking hills for the weekend, and it was perfectly placed on our route to and from home. The brown and black dog welcomed us warmly and we enjoyed getting to pet them for awhile! We also met a cute black and orange kitty :)

Awesome place!
If you are looking for a place to stay near Hocking Hills, the toasted marshmallow is the place! I stayed here for a romantic weekend getaway and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Such a beautiful property with a nice and clean cabin. My favorite part was being welcomed by all of the friendly dogs, kittens, goats that are located on the property. The owner was so friendly and helpful with anything we would’ve needed. We loved our stay at the toasted marshmallow!

Relaxing Getaway!
The toasted marshmallow was the perfect getaway for two. Although it’s about 20 minutes from hocking hills hiking, there is an abundance of nature surrounding the house and the neighborhood. Lake Hope is absolutely gorgeous and should not be missed when staying here. The house is clean, bed is super comfortable and the little bathtub looking out at nature is exactly what we needed on this trip. Pure relaxation! And the hot tub and fire pit were a plus! We also got to meet our neighbors, staying in the house next door. The cats, goats, dogs, etc. were an added bonus!

Relaxing getaway
Loved this little cabin for my husband and myself- perfect size and beautiful surroundings. The dogs welcomed us and we even enjoyed a mama cat and her 5 kittens. We made full use of the hot tub, especially in the evenings when the fireflies were out, creating a private light show for us. Our only complaint would be the kitchenette. If you're looking to prepare your own food, it's not ideal. There is very little counter space and was missing some utensils (no flipper/spatula, paring knife was falling apart). However, it was advertised as a kitchenette, so no false advertising.

Adorable!
It was an adorable cabin and the hosts were great! The hot tub was awesome and the hammock and fire pit were so relaxing! You can visit the goats whenever and the kittens that were on the porch to greet us every time we got home was one of the highlights of our trip! Definitely a great place to relax and reconnect with nature. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is because the A/C wasn’t great and it was pretty warm in there. The small fan they supplied did help though and there are ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom. The fridge had a good amount of space for our weekend stay, but it didn’t keep things very cold. Also, the location is about 20 minutes from the outer border of Hocking Hills, but takes closer to about 40-45 minutes to get to Logan. The drive was really beautiful though, so it was worth it! Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

We enjoyed our stay at the property. The scenery was beautiful and the animals on the property were so friendly. We enjoyed having the hot tub to relax in. The only thing we would have liked is curtains on the windows that are not so sheer so windows are covered more especially at night and while in the bathroom for showers etc.

Relaxing and Quiet
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in The Toasted Marshmallow for our 6 year wedding anniversary. The host messaged me the morning I was due to attive with helpful info for check-in, and location info. They were able to accommodate us arriving an hour early as well. When we arrived, I went straight for the sheep and goats! We were also greeted by an adorable little black dog and a calico cat.They were both super friendly, and you can tell they have been trained to stay out of the cabin because they never went further than the porch. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend getaway. The cabin is on the edge of their farm, but it's so quiet. The only noise we heard came from the animals, which is always welcome.
