A very large suite on a Victorian estate conveniently located in the middle of town. Loft style suite includes a king size bed, 2-person jacuzzi tub and decorative fireplace with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. High speed Internet.
Twin roll-away bed available for an additional $20.
Romantic getaway or a relaxing stop on your journey. Walking distance to four local restaurants.
Enjoy walking the grounds and the pavilion if available.

This place is beautiful but don’t depend on the internet if you are traveling for work. Internet drops a lot and often wasn’t available. This property is super clean, I have stayed twice now and I was impressed both times with the cleanliness. P.S. I hope you like trains. :-)

It was like I was at home in my own room. Bed was very comfortable! Lots of space. Jetted tub works wonderfully. You can 2 person comfortably. No train this time lol. We just had stayed a few weekends before in the Queen Ann Suite. Loved that room as well. The small amenities are much appreciated. Will stay again.

I was concerned about train so close and the stairs. After about 3 days I was used to both. Train blowing whistle at night actually reminded me of my childhood home. Dwelling was very insulated and nothing ratttled when the train went by. Also very comfortable/cozy when it got colder. I felt free to come and go and not interfere with others.

Cute little place for the price. The owner advised me to use the fireplace (sparingly). I couldnt get it to work at all. The jets in the jacuzzi didnt work, the water got cold very quickly with the jacuzzi. The bathroom and shower was nice, the room overall gets a 8 out of 10. All in all was a pretty pleasant stay. Very cute little place. If youre looking for a place to relax and unwind with a fireplace or jacuzzi, this isnt the place. The amenities described didn't work, (the fireplace and jacuzzi), not for you. If youre in and out, this is a cozy little place. The steps up to the place were a little steep.

The history of The Dickey House being saved and renovated makes me happy. It's a shame we were there in December because I bet the grounds are gorgeous in spring and summer. The immediate surroundings are not beautiful, but the cute town square is an easy walk away. The Little Clay Tea House was a highlight - only open 10:30A-2:30PM - fantastic desserts. The train did not bother us - I think 2 went by during our 2 day stay. We met Sarah briefly, and it's clear she loves what she does. She also responded quickly to any requests. The only downside is the actual house is not open for guests - I would've loved to see inside. I don't think we'll ever be in Missouri again - but if we were we would definitely stay here.

I would highly recommend this property. I will stay here every time I come to Marshfield. The host, Sarah is fabulous and the Dickey House well exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved it.

First night train came through,but was quiet other than that. Accomodations were excellent. Hostess was very gracious. Listing was vague on which cabin was ours when checking in. We would consider staying there again.

Overall nice
It is right next to train tracks and only came through in the night once. Would be great if it were more convenient to make food on sight but with a bit of creativity it can be done... overall nice place and a very friendly host. Would consider staying again.

Wonderful!
Wonderful experience all around! Great communication with host, well appointed studio type apartment. Great water pressure and enough hot water to fill the jacuzzi tub. A really great Mexican restaurant (Las Cazuelas Mexican Restaurant) not far away and a great flea market (Antique Merchantile) close as well. Love our stay and will stay again when in the area.

The Prairie Suite was much nicer than I expected. As long as you can climb stairs, it's a great spot for two people to stay. The Internet was strong which is always important to me.

Beautiful, peaceful spot - exactly as described!
This was a wonderful stay for us! My wife and I stayed over for a date weekend to spend some time without kids and kick start our school year and budgetary planning for the next year and this was a BEAUTIFUL place to do it! We stayed around the room quite a bit as and it was so comfortable and homey to just spread out and do some working as well as relaxing and movie watching. We were thrilled with the property and the room itself. So very peaceful and we absolutely plan to come back! Thanks for a wonderful experience. Exactly as described if not even better!
