All truth and nothing but the truth
This hotel is dated but with some charm. The first room we got had no windows and smelled like chemicals. The service is excellent, though. They provided us with a better room at the same cost, starting the second night. Their restaurant on the first floor is great. Morning breakfast (free) and afternoon meals (for a fee) are superb. The location is great, too. So, stay here if you are not picky about modern and updated everything. The city is just like this hotel, BUT the river and jungle tours are amazing.

Great location, excellent service and food, old furniture but everything clean
A fantastic hotel in the heart of Manaus, very close to the Opera House. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and an amazing breakfast buffet! Great value too.

This hotel was far from luxury, but we felt safe there. The rooms, and common areas were very clean. And, the staff was outstanding!
Good downtown location and close to everything. Shower water pressure not the greatest. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast.

Great location that close to the opera house and many restaurants. Air conditioner was slow but eventually did its job. Water pressure was very disappointing, like not exist. Sheets were clean, but wall near the shower definitely need more cleaning. Breakfast was abundant and very tasty.
Very happy with our one night stay in this simple, well located hotel. We missed an airline connection and were unable to get there for our first night reservation. Hotels.com connected us with the hotel and without hesitation they said they would not charge us for the night. Try that with a Hilton! Well run and good breakfast included. We'd stay there again in a heart beat.
This is not your chain hotel. It is on a corner 50 meters from the most interesting building in the Amazon, the Manous Opera House. The hotel is in a solid building that was previously a rubber museum. When you enter the hotel you immediately feel that you are part of the local community. We arrived at 9:30 AM from the ship which is at a walkable distance. The reception manager welcomed us and our luggage even though the room was not ready yet. He offered us the breakfast buffet and was very kind in every respect. The hotel offers breakfast and afternoon tea with all sorts of local delicacies and is popular for birthdays and church and opera goers. On leaving for the airport the next day we were again treated extremely well being allowed very late checkout without charge. The hotel general manager was always present and very kind and helpful. What this hotel lacks in luxury it makes up in friendly warmth and local hospitality. And the location is great with good regional restaurants, and historical buildings, squares, and galleries nearby. The hotel is named after the rubber tree which was the boom of the area in the last century. While the industry faded and moved to Asia, the hotel remains a solid place to stay for a visit when you are in the Amazon.
Pleasant hotel one block from the historic Teatro Amazonas (which is certainly worth a visit!). Good buffet breakfast included. Manager was very nice about keeping our numerous pieces of luggage while we did some sightseeing while waiting for our river cruise boarding, and then he let us store luggage again at the end of our cruise before we needed to get to the airport. Older small hotel in historic area but clean and comfortable. Like most of Manaus, there is graffiti on it and nearby buildings, but we felt comfortable walking around during the day.
Our stay was fair. On our first day the shower didn't work. Had to change room. Also during our stay the cabel tv didn't work on two different days. Breakfast was good and the location of the hotel was excellent in the city center. Hotel was clean and the bed was confortable.
Eduardo, the manager went out of his way to help us with our accommodations. Hotel is next to the theater and great restaurants. Rooms are clean and big. Price of hotel is worth every penny. We are a family of 2 kids/2 adults and room was set up with 4 beds which was nice. Thanks Eduardo for all your help. Eva and Jorge.
This a great littl hotel only one block from the famous Opera Theatre. Also short walk to a town square and a ten minute walk to the waterfront and market.
Rooms were large and comfortable, breakfast was very good, lots of options.
We were a family of seven and stayed at the hotel for four nights. We found it to be clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a definite bonus and made our trip easier. It's not a Marriott, but very good value for the money. No pool/gym, but if you are looking for a nice home base for sleeping and resting for your visit to Manaus, this meets the need.

Well located hotel in centre of Manaus
The hotel is well located (right near the Opera House) in central Manaus and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was large enough and clean, although the decor and room arrangement felt a little old fashioned. The lobby area/restaurant was spacious but could be improved by reorganisation of the space (the check-in desk seemed to sit in the middle rather than to the side).
We had a nice stay at this B&B/small hotel for 3 nights. The location is very convenient (one block from the Opera House!). The staff is very friendly and try their best to help. Breakfast is OK, though not great, but it's free! Overall a very good choice and great value. We'll pick it again if we are in Manaus next time.
Wonderful service.
My reservation was ready and waiting for me. The confirmation and pickup details for my tour reservation for the next day were annotated on my reservation sheet so I didn't need to do anything further.
The breakfast spread was amazing...More and more fresh bakery items kept coming out of the kitchen. The varied selection is likely due to the fact that the hotel breakfast location is a cafe open the rest of the day to the general public.

Simple hotel for fair price
Simple hotel, old rooms, small bathroom, weak Wi Fi. Comfortable bad, good air condition. Fair price including breakfast. The breakfast is OK. Excelent location, near downtown and only one block from the main square and the theater.
This is a gem of a boutique hotel not five minutes walk from the iconic Manaus Opera House and a short distance from the waterfront. An excellent breakfast is included in the room price. Some of the most attractive rooms face the street but, if you need peace and quiet, ask for a room at the back. The double beds are the largest we've ever experienced! The manager speaks good English and is eager to assist with anything you need.
