Relaxing retreat
The house was beautiful - well designed and well stocked with everything we needed for our 3 night stay in the area. We easily accessed the Mammoth Caves, the Corvette Factory and museum in Bowling Green, the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, Bardstown and Louisville from this location and also managed to have a little time for relaxation in this cozy house! (We were 7 adults)! Loved the well stocked kitchen for cooking multiple meals.

Easy drive to Mammoth Cave using the Green River ferry.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet that this property has. The house is very clean and has new appliances. The beds we’re very comfortable. We will choose this again whenever we are near Mammoth Cave National Park.

Weekend Getaway
We wanted a nice relaxing weekend together and that is exactly what we got. Spacious living inside and out. Bob the cat was an added bonus! He is the sweetest Boi. He likes bacon and bread and def scratches behind the ears and belly rubs! We will be reserving again in the future.

Beautiful!
This is the cutest house, right on the morthern edge of Mammoth Caves Narional Park. Easy access to the visitors center and trailheads via a ferry that will take vehicles across the river. We also made a 1 hour drive to Bernheim Botanical Gardens and Research Forest. Loved Mammoth and Bernheim. I highly recommend this rental property!

Beautiful and right there.
This place is better than I expected. Clean and plenty of room. Things are set up like you are home. Furniture is comfortable and the master shower is amazing. This is the best place I have stayed at and if the ferry is running you are real close to the cave visitor center. I would love to stay again

Mammoth Cave Rental
We had a great stay at this property! It was beautifully decorated, clean, and so spacious. My kids loved watching the fireflies on the back porch and spending time with the kitties that would visit often. The ferry was down, but we made the most of the drive into town and enjoyed a full day. Tabitha was so helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. Thanks for the hospitality!

Great family friendly place close to Mammoth Cave!
Overall this place was great for our family of 6 with 2 under 2. The house was very clean upon our arrival and we had everything we needed. Loved the master bathroom, the shower is huge! We spent plenty of time on both porches in between trips to Mammoth Cave. The ferry was up and running during our entire stay, so the visitor center was only 15 minutes away. Internet was going in and out, but Tabitha took great care of us and it wasn’t a big deal. Would definitely stay again!

Remote location clean place
Lovely recently renovated clean large home. The space was plenty of room for our family of 4. Very remote so be prepared to drive 45 minutes to get food or other things. Big yard with great firepit, but not a lot of privacy surprisingly, neighbors are very close by and owner (or someone?) came by without warning and took pictures without explanation.

Nicely updated home
Clean, updated home that has everything you need to enjoy your stay for Mammoth Cave. Unfortunately, the ferry was out of service during our stay which added about 30 min to our drive, however, we knew that was a possibility when we booked. Loved having the gas grill and fire pit. We had an awesome view of the night sky. We all enjoyed having Milo the cat visits every day. 🙂. We appreciated the hosts having TP, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher soap, paper towels, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The only thing we needed but couldn’t find was a vegetable peeler! We would highly recommend staying here!

Great Location & Place!
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Mammoth Cave Getaway. The house was clean, the beds were very comfortable, offered a fantastic shower in the master, had plenty of space inside, and a very nice outdoor space as well (my kids enjoyed Bob the cat that hung out outside of the house). While we stayed the ferry wasn’t running due to the low water levels, had it been running we would’ve been 6 miles away from Mammoth Cave. Due to the ferry not running that meant we had to drive 45 minutes to Mammoth Cave instead. This was nothing that our host could control and we had done our research to know this might be the case if it wasn’t running. We very much enjoyed our time at the house. We cooked and played games that they had, which was really enjoyable. We’d recommend this place to others and would stay there again in the future (hopefully the ferry will be running next time)!

Great house - ferry usually doesn't run
This was a great house for our family of five + two grandparents. It has a lovely firepit, is newly remodeled, and has good AC. The property manager was really responsive, and she even sent someone out to tighten some screws on the bunk bed when we needed it. Kitchen was well-stocked too, and they have a TV with roku and good internet. Everything we needed! My only knock on the house was that the top bunk mattress is really uncomfortable. I like a soft matress, but it's just bad. That's super minor - we absolutely love the place. We didn't fully realize that the trip to Mammoth Cave vistors center goes from 20 min to 45 min if the ferry is not running. Or at least, we didn't realize how infrequent the ferry runs. We were told to just assume it will never run in the summer b/c of low water levels. Now sure why the park doesn't build a bridge! Thanks for a great house and excellent communication.

Kentucky Cave Family Vacation
The house is exactly as described. Beautifully decorated and plenty of room for 5 of us to spread out. The bunk beds were a little wobbly, but sturdy enough for my boys to get a good nights sleep. The handle on the grill is falling off, but we still cooked great tasting steaks. There were plenty of dishes and cooking utensils to cook all our meals. We planned ahead since the house is in the country and about 40 minutes from Cave City for restaurants. We hoped the Green River Ferry would be running, but it was down for maintenance. We knew in advance, so we made sure we allowed enough time to drive the long way around the park. Also, my son enjoyed making friends with the neighbors cat that came to greet us when we arrived at the house. Mark was very responsive and answered all my questions quickly. During our stay, he updated us on the status of the ferry. The informational binder and pamphlets were also helpful. There are coupons for a few of the activities we did! The check out process was super simple and straightforward. This was one of the best Vrbo experiences we have had.
