"Room was clean. Had a little musty smell when we first arrived but we got used to it. Staff were very friendly. Food was good from Gus’s bar. Other bar close by was noisy till about 9:pm. Try not to get the ground floor. You hear every foot step from the guests upstairs. "

"Stayed here after a ferry ride from Prince Rupert. The ferry was late and we checked in after 1 am. Check in was efficient and easy, so we were asleep before 1:30. The room seemed new and was clean and comfortable. "

"Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nicely updated and comfortable. Slept well. Loved watching the harbour activity from our balcony, including pilot boats, float planes, fishing boats and the tide coming in or going out. Coffee in the lobby at 0500 was a nice touch- would have like better quality though. I still needed a stronger coffee later. The restaurant had good food and nice views of the harbour. We got there early and got a window table but by the time we left, people were waiting. Overall nice experience and will be back. "

"Oh my, what a view. The house is so well designed with full windows toward the water. This allowed us to see a whale on several occasions, a few seals, eagles, lots of other birds, and one night the northern lights. The house is in a great location, between Port McNeill and Telegraph Cove for those wanting to take some tours. Oh, did I mention the views?!!!!!"
