The roads are steep but then they are anywhere in Madeira. Certainly a good workout if you decide to go walking on the numerous paths."

"Best holiday villa we have ever stayed in! The villa was so spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The view from the villa’s infinity swimming pool was truly stunning! We received a very warm welcome from Jorge on our arrival to the villa. Jorge was extremely helpful and gave us excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants and places of interest to visit on the beautiful island of Madeira. The villa is only a 5 minute drive from Calheta beach and marina. We were spoiled for choice!...

"We had a fantastic stay with Maria. The rustic property was in a cute, quiet, and private location with an amazing view of the ocean. Easy parking was available below the church, which was a 5-minute walk away from the property. The garden and view were highlights of the property that we will always remember. Arrived with food and wine on counter and also had gifts dropped off halfway through stay… house was beautiful and had all the amenities needed for the week, just bring food. "We had a group of 8 family members and friends. The property is beautiful with gorgeous sunsets and an amazing infinity edge pool. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and plentiful. Very clean with a lovely kitchen. We were given a hearty appetizer to welcome us to our Madeira vacation. We all had an adventure finding the house due to steep domestic streets and limited google maps. The owners were helpful and gracious guides. It was a wonderful experience."

"The house is beautiful. The pool area is an amazing place to take in the views, sunsets and relax. The directions and accompanying literature provided by the host are very informative and answered all of our questions about using the house amenities. Highly recommend taking advantage of the bakery delivery truck that drives past every morning at ~9:15. There is a nespresso machine and drip/filter coffee maker for caffeine needs. If we’re ever back in Madeira, we will hope to stay here again....

"We really enjoyed our stay! The house has an amazing view, is big, and very clean - everything was perfect. Marcia was also very nice, and communication was super easy via WhatsApp. She provided us with a lot of information beforehand to give us the exact location and recommend good restaurants in the area. Much appreciated and highly recommended! My advice is to not forget shampoo or anything you need, as there is no shop within walking distance"

"We had a brilliant 2 week stay at the villa. The views from the balconies were amazing both day and night. The house was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need! The beds were extremely comfortable. The house is up a windy road and you do have to park on the road but we had no issues at all. Thank you!"

"If you’re looking for a modern feel Villa, with a stunning view of Funchal and the coast, and a very nice pool, you just fund it! We were 4 friends who travelled to Madeira for the first time to film and photograph the island and we couldn’t have found a more perfect place to stay. The drive up there is a little tricky, as the road is very steep and with sharp turns, but very worth it. Would recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"We absolutely loved our stay here. Every morning we went out onto the balcony and looked out over the ocean and, in the evening, watched the sun set. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans and dishes, and there is a large fridge. The bed was very comfortable - not too hard or too soft - and we slept well every night. Not only did we eat on the balcony, but also used the patio at the bottom of the garden - again with beautiful views over the water. More than anything else, we couldn't get...

"Quand nous sommes arrivés nous avons été accueilli par les propriétaires. Ils ont été super, ils nous ont fait le tour de la maison, ils parlent très bien français et anglais. La maison est grande et spacieuse, elle est parfaite pour séjourner en famille ou entre amie. La maison est approprié pour les bébé et enfants en bas âge. La propriétaire a même une poussette ! Siège auto.. la localisation est parfaite, il y a un restaurant à côté très bon et peu chère, une pharmacie.. nous avons profité...

"The home is high on a hill, modern and very clean. The pool is wonderful and a perfect temperature. We stayed for 1 month. Beatrice met us at the house and responded to our questions quickly. The cleaning crew came in once a week which was fantastic We were not prepared for how steep and narrow the roads were in our area, but it appears to be the norm. My husband eventually became an expert driver. Madeira is a wonderful place to visit. We are happy we chose An Island Apart. "
