"We had a fantastic holiday! Our hosts were attentive, accommodating and engaged us in the local community. After a few hours we felt very much relaxed, welcomed and at home! It was brilliant swimmming everyday in the pool and the numerous sitting areas allowed you shade and/or panoramic sun! Our children loved the little river at the end of the lane and were mezmorised by the Dragonflies and lizards. The BBQ was brilliant and the local restaurants were fab! Being able to cycle to the local...

"We had a lovely stay at Gîte Douly. The property was exactly as described and was spotlessly clean. Communication was very easy and questions were answered quickly. The owners were very friendly and often stopped for a chat as we sat outside in the sun. We would happily stay again."

"The property has not been maintained or checked for cleanliness prior to occupation. Mould on surface of dinner plates, bowls requiring cleaning prior to use. Strong odor of urine in living room, dank smell from kitchen drain, mold . At check-in we were told to purchase our own toilet paper! No paper towels either.Mosquito infested outdoor sitting area precluded its use and no screens on any windows or doors."

"Suffering from cold for a month. Was surprisingly warm and spacious. We were so glad for it. Vincent was easily approached. No Uber services so he managed to provide for taxi at time of leaving. Peaceful place of Lourdes and I will carry that feelings to home and hopefully stay with it."

"I was volunteering in Lourdes for 5 days and needed a reasonably priced place to stay. The Villa Mariale was the best price. I realised that I had stayed there some years before, when it was called something else. It hasn’t changed much, but at least, this time bath towels were included. I didn’t cook, but there was a fully equipped kitchen area if you wanted to do your own cooking"

"We enjoyed our stay in this cute mountain cabin. The views were incredible and it was easy to find. The beds were comfortable, but be warned you need to bring your own sheets and towels, which is not made clear when you book. The floorboards are a little squeaky and there are no comfy chairs outside to sit and admire that gorgeous view from, but apart from that, it was very pleasant. The kitchen is well stocked and the place was immaculately clean. Philippe was a very welcoming host."

"6 of us stayed a week in late June. Ample space, 2 br and bath downstairs, open kitchen and reception room upstairs. Toilet upstairs. A car is necessary, as the village has no shops, just a bakery open daytime. The stairs are quite steep, but navigable, even by an elderly person with a recent hip fracture. The owners/hosts are charming, eager to help, and keep the pool and grounds very clean. Highly recommended."

Annie was the most caring and accommodating host I have encountered. She made us feel right at home and even provided us with beautiful crepes and jam. "I believe this is the oldest hotel in Lourdes. The owners have done an incredible job of renovation. The attention to every detail from comfortable beds, beautiful bedding, amenities in the bathroom, a fantasticily gorgeous indoor, swimming, pool, and hot tub outside. The staff is obviously hand-picked for professionalism, extreme kindness cheerfulness. I especially like the evening checks to make sure everything is OK and if more towels or anything is needed in the room. Such a feeling of being cared for welcomed, and a feeling to be at home. An easy location walking to the grotto, as well as to shops and other features in the town of Lourdes, I highly recommend this for a beautiful respite while in Lourdes. Also dining at the restaurant, the food was phenomenal, extreme attention to detail in the preparation, quality and presentation of the meal. A gorgeous breakfast as well."
