Lonnoc Beach is a long stretch of white sand that is gently massaged by the bubbly waves of the turquoise ocean water. Many luxurious bungalows and tropical trees line the back of the beach, which is among the most scenic parts of the island. Go kayaking on the calm water and enjoy the views of the tropical terrain.
Stroll along the powdery sand of this beach and go beachcombing for treasure with your kids. Find shells and stones and turtles bobbing their heads up from their holes in the sand. Work on your tan in the hot summer and cool off with a book in the shade. Swim in the ocean and bring snorkeling gear to see the eclectic range of fish here.
Note that the water is sheltered by the green rolling hills and cliffs that surround the beach. This keeps the winds low, making the water safer for children. Bring enough snacks and refreshments for a picnic at the table shaded by a thatched roof.
This is a popular low-key resort area for vacationers in search of tranquility and relaxation. Stay at one of the many bungalows and beach lodges that overlook this bay. The bungalows have a simple design, with thatched roofs and wooden porches. Take the complex’s kayaks out on the water and dine at the restaurant and bar.
Visit the beach with a tour operator from the nearby town of Luganville and stop off at one of the awe-inspiring blue holes on the way back. Marvel at the crystal clear blue water that is filtered through layers of limestone before reaching the surface. Swim in the water and admire the view of the surrounding jungle terrain.
