It is in the perfect location; a hop and a skip away from Lake Placid and the mountains. "Could have been a 5 star rating but:1. we had to shovel 5 inches of snow from walkway and deck to get in the house2. Very small amount of toilet paper. Had to go to the store the first evening we arrived. 3. The request to leave an empty dishwater, beds stripped, garbage removed AND to take with us, and floors vacuumed and swept was a bit much. The house is very cute, comfortable and in close proximity to everywhere we wanted to go. "

No tv,wifi was spotty.propane ,electric and space heating provided and heavy comforters.15 minutes from gore mt 25 to town with stores and restaurants. Need 4wd in winter due to gravel roads.Good value . Was warned about dog who woke us up barking outside wimdow at 10pm. Looks like it would be fun in warm weather with Hot tub...

"Very cozy cabin. Bathroom perhaps a bit TOO cozy. Which means it was lovely, but very small. Many stubbed toes on the shower lip, but I concede that not much could be done about that. There were a few cobwebs in the rafters, some sawdust on the top of the bathroom mirror, but overall lovely. "

"We came to Saranac Lake to check out the Adirondacks. It is a beautiful area. The Cabin is great for kicking back and soaking in the surroundings. We brought a boat with fishing in mind. Not such a good idea. Oh! the cabin advertisement indicated that it was "Blue" . Well, that's only half true. Like I said, we brought a boat so we could leave from the Cabin and fish. But, if one arrives at the cabin by water, it is brown, not blue. It rains on us for 3 days, but we still hadfun."

Didn’t like the bathroom faucet, had to hold handle in order to get water, needs updating. Felt kitchen was lacking a few amenities that all other places have provided (toaster, salt and pepper). "

"Never in my life have I experienced such courteous and friendly staff as dedicated as the ones at this hotel. We went there to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and the staff provided a birthday card signed by the whole staff as well as a couple of freshly made pieces of cheesecake that they stuck in our mini fridge while we were out shopping. The property itself is gorgeous, very elegant. The rooms were very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. We ended up having breakfast at the in hotel restaurant and it was amazing. Whenever we travel back to Saranac this is exactly where we will be staying again!"
