A Beautiful Stay
Innkeepers were friendly and helpful! The view of these cottages were amazing. We appreciated the quiet time at 10pm. The Caspar cottage was perfect. Fully equipped kitchen, awesome Hot Tub, and fireplace. We had a welcome note with fresh cookies. We cooked breakfast on in kitchen and grilled steaks on the outside grill with a beautiful ocean view. No dining on site, but markets and restaurants close by.

Love this place
This is our third stay at the Cottage at Little River Cove. We love this place as it is dog friendly and has beautiful views. We have stayed in the Elk cottage historically, but it was not available this stay. The Elk Cottage has extraordinary ocean views and you actually feel like you are flying with the birds as it is perched on a hill. However, the Farrallon cottage was wonderful too in terms of the view. However, the bathroom is very very small unlike the bathroom in the Elk Cottage. The Farrallon has a wonderful viewing deck and additionally quite spacious. My only concern with the cottages is the cleanliness factor regarding the floors. The kitchen floors are never very clean upon arrival. During our last stay, I requested a cleaning of the floor as it was sticky and did not appear to be clean. The second cleaning never occurred, so I got down on my hands and knees and began cleaning it myself. Yes, it was not clean. However, all other factors in terms of cleanliness were great. We love this place and will be back. Just please make sure that the kitchen floors are clean. Thank you so much

Great For Romance or With The Family
The cottage was well equipped right down to a coffe maker and great local roasted brew. Spacious accommodations, a great hot tub and wonderful views of the Pacific round out the rooms. We were there to celebrate our anniversary, but the cottages can accommodate the whole family. And with the kitchens, a great value as well.

Perfect Quiet Dog Friendly Get Away!
The cottage was sparkling clean and spacious. It was very dog friendly which included dog dishes, poop bags with handy container, Frisbees. There was a binder full of suggestions on where to go/eat. The cottage was quiet. The bathroom was very large and the bed very comfortable. Soft bathrobes were provided and there was cable television. The parking was close by. We loved the fire pit and gas BBQ as well as meeting fellow guests as we drank our wine and grilled our fish. We couldn't have been happier. Perfect honeymoon for us and our dogs! 4 paws!!! We are planning to return on our wedding anniversary.

Great Cottage in Mendocino
2nd time we've stayed here...Really great, roomy and comfortable place with great views from every cottage. My husband and I are abalone divers and this works out great for us. Very comfortable and right above the Van Damme cove. Full Kitchen and bathroom, nice fireplace and deck. Grounds are gorgeous and they are pet friendly. We'll be back for sure.

Spring Break vacation
Wonderful place to stay with a family. Convenient location to all the sights, beautiful ocean view to wake up to in the morning. Grounds are beautiful and the staff is helpful and accommodating. Would stay here again.

A perfect, peaceful getaway.
This was the second time we have stayed there. We love it. So peaceful and relaxing. It was everything we wanted and well worth the price. The wifi isn't very strong and there is no cell phone service, so keep that in mind if staying connected is important. Couch in Elk cottage is VERY uncomfortable--really wish they would replace it.

A little piece of Heaven ...in Little River
The cottages, grounds, views, service were all fabulous. My only complaint was that we didn't stay longer!!! (On the rating factor, we didn't eat there so I gave it 5 stars because you to put something in)

Wonderful hotel, dog friendly, great view
Loved the view, the room, the quietness - great location to Ft. Bragg and Mendocino. I especially loved that it was "big" dog friendly and not just for little dogs =) We brought our 3 pit bulls and they had pillows, blankets, bowls and gifts for all three of them. We will definitely be back to visit here. Oh, and we arrived late so our key was left at reception and there was also complimentary coffee, tea and all the fixins' for it --that was a nice surprise in the morning since we were a late arrival.

Perfect spot to truly get away
We LOVED the Cottages at Little River Cove. It's such a peaceful and quiet place. The views are beautiful, and we loved having the fireplace. Our cottage even came with binoculars so that we could get a better view of the ocean. At night, we slept with the window open and could hear the ocean. We didn't want to leave. The full kitchen made it so easy to stay in when we wanted and go out when we wanted. Housekeeping is every other day, which is a nice feature if you really want privacy. The location was perfect--a short drive down to Albion or a slightly longer drive up to Mendocino and Fort Bragg. The office staff was very nice. Since cell service is practically non-existent in this area, it was very helpful for the office to have a binder full of restaurant menus and other information to help us make decisions on where to eat. The Cottages does provide wifi, but even it was spotty at times--not a problem if you're truly wanting to get away and unplug. Our only complaint is that the couch in the Elk Cottage was terribly uncomfortable to sit on for any substantial length of time. I would recommend replacing it as soon as funds are available.

Cabins with a View.
Arrived in the evening. Reception was friendly. We chose this location because it was advertised as pet-friendly. The only info on Expedia was "pets allowed." They allow pets, but it is conditional and with extra fees - guess I should have checked their website and not relied on Expedia. With our two spaniels at $25 each per night would have run $100 extra for the two nights. The receptionist cut us some slack and charged only a $25 cleaning fee (I hope). We loved the cabin, and the location, and property is properly set up to allow pets. Free bags to clean up waste, and the landscaping is open, lush and manicured. Very comfortable furnishings with a clear view of the surf.

Comfortable bed
This place was very comfortable. The bed was perfect and I loved the complimentary shampoo and conditioner offered, however we thought about bringing our 2 kids back with us as there is a pull out bed in the small living room area, but aside from the kitchen table there was only seating for 3. Also, we passed it the first time because the address is hidden behind the bushes. But I would go back. There isn't much of an ocean view, but it's better than no view at all.

Found Paradise
Never explored Menodocino, wanted a place that didnt feel like a hotel. The cottages were perfect for my girlfriend and I. The beaches are amazing, couldnt ask for a better weekend.

Great place to relax
We spent 3 days and we selected this property because they take pets and location. They had a wonderful set up not only for us but for our golden retriever - dog bed , towel to wipe wet paws and food bowls. In addition great ocean views and wonderful area for the dogs to play. Highly recommend for vacation

Quiet getaway

Great Views and a Great Room with Mendocino Wine!
Great romantic cottages with amazing ocean views. Make sure to book the Caspar room and make use of it's hot tub while star gazing. Room service is provided by the resort next store and has a great selection of fantastic cuisine. We never had to leave the room.
