VNSM - Rustic Villa on the cliff

Villa of the early twentieth century, built by an amateur fishing city and wanted a quiet place to relax and indulge in his hobby. 100 years later, the place is always quiet and secluded even though two Km you will find animation! The villa is situated on a cliff 77 meters above the Atlantic, the beach access (wild) is on the dirt road that serves the house, within 100 meters.
The house is surrounded by terraces and a wild garden with local species (wild juniper, armories, saponnaires ...). We have done work in early 2014.

Great!
The location is beautiful, as well as the house, though it is rustic as the description already says. The wild garden around the house is an adventure itself and the surrounding is just nature, the cliffs only 10m away from the entrance of the property. Amazing! Shops an restaurants can be reached by foot in 10-15 min, so you have everything you need. On top of that, Isabelle and especially Anne-Marie, whose house is next to the villa, were so nice and helpful! Thank you again! N&M

La maison est incroyablement située : au milieu d'un luxuriant jardin que les enfants se sont plu à arpenter en tous sens. La vue sur l'océan est juste incroyable. On est véritablement coupé du monde dans une oasis de calme. La maison en elle-même est rustique mais possède le confort nécessaire. La cheminée a été appréciée, comme le barbecue. Non spécifié dans l'annonce : la propriété a le wifi et une machine à laver le linge. Un petit aspirateur pourrait être utile pour des nettoyages express (sable par exemple). Et le rideau de douche pourrait être ajusté en hauteur. Il est très facile d'aller à la plage a pied. Plage magnifique au demeurant et peu peuplée. Tres facile aussi de se rendre en d'autres lieux de visite : Sintra, phare de Cabo da Roca. ... Anne-Marie est extrêmement gentille. Toujours de bon conseil et prête à aider. Le séjour a également été génial grâce à sa présence discrète (et à son chat Thaïs tres apprécié des enfants...). Un point d'attention néanmoins : lors de grosses chaleurs, l'évaporation de la mer crée des nuages qui s'accrochent à la montagne voisine et le lieu devient couvert. Plusieurs journées, le soleil n'est apparu que dans l'après-midi. Soit l'on apprécie le frais généré, soit il faut prendre la voiture pour quitter ce microclimat : Cascais à 45 min de voiture par exemple.

Die Lage auf den Klippen ist fantastisch. Haus und Grundstück haben sehr viel Charme. Die Vermierterin ist herzlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Vielen Dank, liebe Marie-Anne und Isabelle!

Un lieu unique et authentique
Séjour délicieux tant le lieu est remarquable (maison pittoresque, jardin exceptionnel, vue imprenable sur l'océan). La beauté du cadre est propice à la sérénité et au repos. Gemütliches kleines Haus in phänomenaler Lage
Wir haben in diesem wunderbar gemütlichen kleinen Haus acht Nächte im März verbracht und würden es jederzeit wieder tun! Die Lage ist phänomenal, direkt am Meer gelegen, nur einen Katzensprung von einem (im März) einsamen und wirklichen sehr schönen Strand entfernt, und dennoch in Nachbarschaft zu allem was wir brauchten und sehen mochten. Restaurants in jeder Preislage und für jeden Geschmack sind fußläufig zu erreichen, das Nachbardorf ist ein malerischer kleiner Ort und bis nach Sintra ist es auch nicht weit. Das Haus selbst ist hübsch, einfach und praktisch eingerichtet. Luxus sollte man nicht erwarten und wer dies nicht tut wird hier auf seine Kosten kommen. Unsere Bedenken ob der Heizsituation im März waren unbegründet, die elektrischen Heizungen in Wohnzimmer und den Schlafzimmern tun ihren Dienst. Wir hatten allerdings auch wirklich tolles Wetter. Die Eigentümerinnen, Isabelle und Anne-Sophie, waren total zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit und haben sich des bestens um uns gekümmert. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Dem Meer so nah wie nie
Der Meerblick ist atemberaubend, das Rauschen beruhigend: dieser Ort ein Geschenk! An unserem Hausstrand haben wir sogar den anderen Tag Delphine gesehen...!! Anne-Marie und Isabel, die sehr sehr gastfreundlichen Vermieterinnen, sind wunderbar! Azenhas ist gerade auch in der Nebensaison sehr angenehm. Selten ist es uns so schwer gefallen, einen Ort wieder zu verlassen: so schoen war es!

Beautiful house - typical interior - lots of space - big garden - great view - calm - rough but great atlantic - great bathing bay very close - perfect location for excursions to Lisbon, Sintra, Ericeira, all the surrounding small villages, Coimbra... - very sympathetic hosts Everything was fine and we enjoyed two beautiful weeks during october with our two children.

Le paradis existe
Des notre arrivée devant le portail nous avons été conquis par le jardin et la vue splendide de la mer depuis les falaises. Puis, au détour d une allée, elle se dévoile, fièrement installée devant l' océan, elle nous attend avec ses volets bleus, ses terrasses ou le soleil s amuse du lever jusqu à se coucher devant nos yeux chaque fois émerveillés par son spectacle. Lorsqu elle nous ouvre ses portes la maison nous montre son authenticité, ses murs épais sa fiabilité, sa déco la simplicité élégante. Ses lits sont douillets et confortables, la cuisine est très sobre mais il y a ce qu il faut pour cuisiner et cerise, sous le regard de l océan! La gardienne des lieux: Anne Marie, est une belle rencontre accueillante, prévenante, et très cultivee, nous nous sommes senti "les invités de la famille".. Après 9 jours de cette parenthèse propice à la ressource, nous avons attrapé le goût d y revenir...

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cette maison et nous regrettons de ne pas avoir pu en profiter plus. La maison est parfaite pour passer un excellent séjour. Calme et beauté du paysage sont au rendez vous. Vue exceptionnelle sur le jardin et l océan. L'accueil de la propriétaire a été excellent. Mets offerts à notre arrivée !!!! Excellents conseils donnés pour effectuer les visites du coin. Gentillesse et disponibilité tout en étant très discrète. Merci pour tout. Location à recommander pour visiter Lisbonne et sa région.

sehr erholsame Unterkunft direkt am Meer
Wir (2 Personen) waren hier für 10 Tage. Das Ferienhaus hat von Anfang an überzeugt! Die Vermieter waren sehr entgegenkommend und gaben sich alle Mühe, den Urlaub so zu ermöglichen wie gewünscht. Wir wurden herzlichst willkommen und uns wurden Tipps gegeben bezüglich Sightseeing und Unternehmungen in der Umgebung. Die Lage ist unbeschreiblich schön direkt am Meer auf der Klippe und der Strand ist nur wenige 100 Meter entfernt. Die Umgebung hat sehr viel zu bieten und auch die Nähe zu Lissabon ist ein großes Plus. Wir haben fast jeden Abend gegrillt und den Sonnenuntergang angeschaut, aber auch viel über den Tag angeschaut. Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und es war alles vorhanden, was man so brauchte. Ingesamt hat einfach alles gepasst und wir waren sehr erholt nach dem Urlaub. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Perfect location, beautiful house and very friendly people!
The house is located at a beautiful part of Portugal. You wake up and just listen to the ocean and birds.. nothing else. So it’s perfectly to relaxe and forget Stress at home. You need a car to go there if you want to be flexible during your stay. The house is exactly like the pictures. There is a organic Supermarkt 5 min. drive away which is very good. We bought everything there! There are also a lot of good restaurants near by and of course a beautiful beach just 2 min. walk away. Used by locals and most of the time there were just 2-10 people around.. very good! Anne-Marie is a perfect Host. She gives Tipps and is around to ask if you need something. Isabelle answered a lot of questions we had before and it was very good! I can only recommend this place! I think I will go there again next time in Portugal! Just a perfect spot for holidays and even perfect for families.

Near by the Paradise -Nahe am Paradies
Eigentlich sollte man hier nicht zuviel Werbung machen, sonst ist das Haus an der Klippe mit dem wunderschönen Garten und Blick auf den rauhen Atlantik nicht mehr zu buchen. Isabelle und Marie sind perfekte Gastgeber. Alle Fragen werden im Vorfeld unkompliziert beantwortet und sogar ein Abholservice am Flughafen war dabei. Das Haus bietet alles was man für den Urlaub braucht und ist solide eingerichtet. Auf den Terrassen im Garten findet sich auch immer eine Sonnenecke über die man über den wunderschönen Garten auf den Atlantik schauen kann. Bis auf Wind und Wellen hört man nichts, für uns und Hunden Erholung pur. Schöne Restaurants sind zu Fuß zu erreichen, der Supermarkt in Fontanelas nicht weit entfernt. Ein Auto sollte man haben, um die Umgebung zu entdecken und Ausflüge nach Sintra oder Lissabon zu planen. Zum Schwimmen oder surfen fährt man ein paar Kilometer , der nahe Strand läd zum Spazieren und Sonnebaden ein. Actually, one should not make too much advertising here, otherwise the house on the cliff with the beautiful garden and view of the rough Atlantic can not be booked. Isabelle and Marie are perfect hosts. All questions are easily answered in advance and even a pick-up service at the airport was there. The house has everything you need for a holiday and is solidly furnished. On the terraces in the garden there is always a sun corner over which you can look over the beautiful garden on the Atlantic Ocean. Except for wind and waves you hear nothing, for us and dogs pure relaxation. Nice restaurants are within walking distance, the supermarket in Fontanelas not far away. You should have a car to explore the area and plan trips to Sintra or Lisbon. For swimming or surfing you drive a few miles, the nearby beach invites you to go for a walk and sunbathe. Thanks to Isabelle and Marie; we will come back to dream.

Traumhafter Blick, wunderschöner Garten, Sonnenuntergang und Meeresrauschen
Alles war wie beschrieben. Das Haus liegt herrlich ruhig, obwohl Lissabon so nah ist. Die Vermieterinnen sind sehr hilfsbereit und liebenswürdig. Es gibt viel zu sehen in der Nähe. Wir haben jeden Tag genossen, obwohl es relativ kühl war im April. Ein warmer Pulli ist hilfreich. Die Sonne wärmt trotzdem an den vielen windgeschützten Ecken im Aussenbereich. Abends hat uns das Kaminfeuer und ein Heizofen wohlig warm gehalten. Der Garten hat herrlich geduftet, ein Blütenmeer und der freie Blick auf den Atlantik und die Sonnenuntergänge - ein Traum. Selbst beim Abspülen und beim Wäscheaufhängen kann man den freien herrlichen Blick genießen. Direkt vom Haus weg kann man einen herrlichen Küstenweg entlangwandern und erlebt dabei jeden Moment einen neuen atemberaubender Blick. Ganz nah ist auch die Treppe mit ungefähr 200 Stufen, um zum Strand zu gelangen. Im nächsten Ort (ca. 2 km) gibt es einen Sandstrand und Spielplatz für Kinder beides ist auch mit Kleinkindern einfach zu erreichen (der Parkplatz ist ganz nah). Dort gibt es auch einen Markt, der vormittas geöffnet hat. Ein Erlebnis ist die Fahrt mit der alten Tram von dort nach Sintra (dauert ca. 45 Minuten). Man kann gemütlich ohne Parkplatzprobleme und - kosten die Stadt ansehen und dann gemütlich wieder zurückfahren. Wir haben Ruhe und Erholung gefunden an diesem wunderschönen Ort. Das Meeresrauschen und die herrlich wilde Natur haben uns begeistert und alle Alltagssorgen abfallen lassen.

Une location à recommander!
Nous avons passé dans cette location une excellente semaine! La maison est accueillante et le jardin très agréable. Tous les soirs un couché de soleil différent s'offre à vous depuis la terrasse. C'est tout simplement magique! La proximité avec Lisbonne et Sintra est très pratique. Et le calme et la sérénité du lieu contraste avec l'agitation des sites touristiques avoisinants en pleine saison. Anne -Marie, la propriétaire est d'une grande disponibilité et jamais à court de bons conseils. Nous sommes repartis en réfléchissant à la date d'un prochain séjour!

Sehr schön gelegenes altes Haus in erster Reihe zum Atlantik mit Garantie zu spektakuleren Sonnenuntergängen. Das Haus wird von einer äußerst freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Besitzerin verwaltet. Die Austattung der Küch könnte mal etwas aufgefrischt werden. Der Garten ist sehr urwüchsig. Die allgemeine Sauberkeit ließ ein wenig zu wünschen übrig. Till

Endroit inoubliable aussi bien pour le site que pour les propriétaires.
Un endroit où l'on décompresse totalement. Un calme parfait, une vue sans faute, un accueil chaleureux et sans faille. Ne parlant pas un mot de portugais, les propriétaires n'ont pas hésité à nous accompagner dans les magasins pour les premières achats de notre séjour, ce qui nous a terriblement aidé. Nous avons énormément apprécié (ce qui est rare). Toujours à l'écoute en cas de soucis, et de nous donner des renseignements pour que notre séjour soit le plus agréable possible.
