Fifth floor rooms are very comfortable . Bedroom, bathroom, full kitchen, washer & dryer in room plus a good size private patio. Staff were very helpful and front desk & security were there 24 hours. Location is excellent for restaurants, it is safe and is walking distance to many attractions.

I love love love this hotel! I was Treated like a princess for my birthday. The staff was so sweet! Miguel and Gabby took extra care of me. Honestly everyone is amazing. The beds are extra comfy! I love The free breakfast made fresh and made to order. The coffee was amazing. I love The hotel is close to convinient store and the main hub of Mexico City! It was surprisingly quiet so I slept A lot! I love the modern look of the place, the beautiful rooftop pool. I can go on and on. Stay here! You won’t regret it.. I’ll be back every year I’ve decided. Wanted to add photos but could not.. wanted to to add my birthday surprise from staff. I truly felt cared for. Also love the what’s app chat: there you ask for thing you need from reception. Thanks again :)

Lovely staff, wonderful rooftop restaurant, tasty food. Great free snacks & drinks in the lobby. Historic location was great for wandering and site seeing. The concierge, Fernanda, was fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms were neat, clean and quiet.

Wonderful location near many attractions for visiting the city. During peak traffic times, the ride from the airport about an hour, otherwise about half that. Very friendly staff and very helpful. Old building but it has character. The street can get noisy but again, it’s downtown. Great stay.

Terrific location for a first-time visit to CDMX (close to the Cathedral, Templo Mayor, Presidential Palace) and walking distance to Palacio Bellas Artes, Tile House, and Museo Nacional de Arte. The Zocalo is busy during the day and had concerts several nights, but the area gets pretty deserted late at night (plenty of police presence, however). The hotel staff are wonderful, very helpful, speak excellent English, and were very accommodating. The hotel is a large former department store with impressive glass roof and iron work throughout. The rooms were spotlessly clean, if a bit dated. Super-comfortable bed! We chose an interior room and appreciated the quiet. It was a suite with large rooms, a separate sitting room with TV (allowed one of us to sleep while the other watched TV). Full Netflix, etc. La Terrazza restaurant/room service was good, if somewhat uneven from night to night. Has a great view of the Zocalo and surrounding buildings, which are illuminated at night. The breakfast buffet is ample, but not cheap. We stayed at the hotel in January, so it felt somewhat empty, especially at night. The openness of La Terrazza meant it was chilly some mornings and late evenings. Note also that the streets leading to the Zocalo are closed to vehicular traffic, so grabbing an Uber meant walking one block to the nearby Nike store. Not a problem, and staff are available to assist with luggage, if needed. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico.
