Second Stay at the Apartment
The apartment is well positioned just opposite the bus terminus and entry to the commercial area. To access the piste exit the apartment turn left and in about 100m you can access a blue piste that leads quickly to the main green run on the front of the resort. For the ski schools its a two minute walk to the right down hill.
There were 11 of us in the apartment which felt about right. There are 14 beds but two of the rooms are very small with triple bunks. But it can be done at 14. The downside of the numerous bedrooms is a smaller communal area but its exactly as you see in the photos and we made it work for us.
The price was competitive if not slightly cheaper than other apartments on offer.
Key collection was easy from the owners daughter in law at a nearby shop. As was organising the linen hire.
There was plenty of utensils etc to cook for our group in the apartment.
We did have an issue when leaving. I received an email saying we had left the apartment dirty and it was unacceptable. We paid an extra 160 euros for end of stay clean. We emptied the bins and stripped the beds as requested. I wiped down all the kitchen surfaces and set the dishwasher away. The only thing we left was a pan with hot water in to loosen some food which try as I might I couldnt get clean with what I had and due to a very early departure couldnt sort out before we left.
The email also said that we had left with the keys and broken the lockbox on the front door. The last thing we did was place two sets of keys into the lockbox as we left. Its a solid piece of metal with 4 number dials. You would need a hammer to break it. The keys also fit the ski lockers and front door. So I was asked for 450 euros to sort it out.
I explained that the apartment was as would be expected with 11 people living in it for a week and that I had paid the final clean. Plus that we hadnt broken the lock box and the keys were there.
I didnt get a reply so im hoping all was remedied and there was some sort of communication breakdown with the cleaning staff. I can only read the owners review of me as a guest if I complete this review so we will see. I hope this comes across as a balanced review and the issues on leaving were sorted. I had to leave a cheque for the security deposit. This is an out dated system and my cheque book was ancient (2003). Ive no idea yet wether its been cashed or I need to sort this further. Im hoping that since no further emails in the last 3 weeks mean everything is??
