Mixed Feeling
A little disappointed!
Unfortunately we arrived in wet weather and couldn't gain access to the property.
We assumed that we would be met, but apparently we needed to contact the non English speaking caretaker and our french is not conversational. Fortunately we were able to contact the owner who was able to arrange access.
The property was generally functional, except for very steep stairs which gained access to the two bedrooms and bathroom towards the front.
The stairs to the bedroom at the rear of the house were extremely steep,, making moving luggage upstairs impossible.
The steps at the top gave way.
One of the beds in that room comprised of slats which gave way when sat upon, resulting in the occupants putting the mattress on the floor to sleep.
The house was in a good situation in the town, with easy street parking on a reasonable charge. We only moved the car once as we were able to walk to all shops and cafes/restaurants, where a friendly welcome was usually given.
Would visit Le Crotoy again, not sure about the property, sorry!
