"The room was what I expected for a 3 star property. Check in was easy and efficient. The room had a smell from the drains when we came in, likely because it’s an old building. The linen and bathroom facilities were clean and it had good basic amenities. The couch looked old and a bit dirty and as it was a hot day and only a window with no fly wire and a portable evaporative cooler, our sleep was hot and noisy. Overall it was cost effective and ok for one night. "

"We chose Commodore Regent as it is across the road from City Park in Launceston, where Festivale is held. We were very happy with our choice. The motel has been upgraded and is very clean and comfortable. The king size bed was very comfortable and the rainfall shower was amazing!! There were no towels in the room but I left a message with reception and they were brought to the room very quickly. Airconditioning worked exceptionally well as the weekend was very, very hot! Very handy to the CBD...

"Really peaceful and comfortable one night stay after a very tasty meal at the bistro. Hosts were really friendly and provided us with a welcome drink and bread (including gluten free) and juice to add to the breakfast box in the room. Thought initially that road noise would be an issue due to a car racing up and down the road around 9pm but we both managed to sleep for 10 hours solid (catch-up from previous night with early morning flight)! Bathroom seemed to have been recently refitted and...

"Simple property that ticked all the boxes. Great location and check in was a breeze. Only downside was that upstairs had no air-conditioning and it was quite hot into the evening."

"Great location and well equipped for cooking. Spacious living area but the apartment configuration was not optimal. Great view from main bedroom but had to walk through the second bedroom to enter the apartment and access the bathroom. Grass area off main bedroom could be developed to make the most of the view. Overall, good value for money."
