Lansing, NC - Haven Ridge is the perfect romantic getaway in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains of Ashe County. This cozy 1 bedroom cabin offers you privacy with breathtaking long range mountain & woodland views. Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature from the deck where a hot tub awaits. Relax in the shade of hammock or the swing. Star gaze next to the fire pit while enjoying s'mores. Cuddle up on the love seat to watch satellite TV or DVD. A spiral staircase leads to a queen size bed in the loft bedroom. Have Ridge has a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare that special gourmet meal. Take in the beauty of wildflowers and woodlands as you take the short walk to the New River. You can experience the small town life just a few miles away in West Jefferson. Enjoy a lunch or dinner at one of the several restaurants and wander along the streets enjoying the art galleries and shops. AWD/FWD is required during the spring, summer and fall season. During winter, 4WD or AWD is required.

For some winter fun, head to one of our three most popular ski resorts: Appalachian Ski Mtn, Sugar Mtn, or Beech Mtn.

Amazing Getaway
We wanted to get back to western NC after Helene to support the areas who wanted tourists to return. The road and communities heading to the cabin were hit hard by the hurricane, but the route was drivable. Would recommend a truck or SUV. The cabin was adorable and the mountain it was on top of was perfect and secluded. We hope to keep coming back to these areas to help rebuild by volunteering and supporting local businesses. We will definitely stay again!

Another Amazing Stay!
This is the fourth time my husband and I have rented this little A frame house on Haven Ridge. We love it so, so much! The house has so much character. The little mountain it sits upon is so quite and peaceful! It really is pure heaven!

Weekend Getaway
The wife and I decided at the last minute to do a weekend getaway from the heat in Eastern North Carolina and head to the mountains. I found the listing for Haven Ridge to be completely accurate and very affordable. The house was immaculate and exactly as described. We had a great time exploring the Ashe County area and enjoying the peace and solitude of the location. Just a little piece of advice, when they say you need 4wd or AWD they mean it. We used our 4x4 Jeep Compass and had no issues but any vehicle that doesn't have that capability will not make it up to the house.

Romantic and remote....and literally on top of a mountain! Was excited to see that there was a jacuzzi bathtub and then so disappointed when it didn't work; but a bubble bath was nice. The hot tub outside was great!

This was the perfect little cabin! It was so quaint and had the perfect amenities. My fiance and I wanted a weekend getaway and this was the perfect spot from the hot tub, to the cleanliness, to the soaking tub, the firepit, and being conveniently located just 15 minutes from town and right by the river. I can't wait to come back!

Perfect little getaway!
This place was perfect! Very clean - I am a stickler when it comes to cleanliness. You DEFINITELY need 4-wheel drive no matter what time of year it is (we went in June to give you an idea). The climb up there is steep and it’s secluded at the very top of the mountain/very big hill. You should definitely book this place!

Weekend Get Away from it all
We absolutely loved our weekend! This is definitely the place if you want a couple's weekend getaway. Perfect for two. Close enough to civilization if you want to venture out. Hot tub was excellent. Didn't get a chance to use the firepit but it looks nice! Definitely need 4WD!

Great spot to get away and unwind from a busy life. Perfect for 2 and close enough to a city to pick up what you need. West Jefferson is a special little town close by that offers great shops and dining. Overall, just the weekend we needed!

Our stay at the Haven Ridge cabin was so relaxing. It was wonderfully quiet. The fire pit was nice, but if you plan to have a fire more than 1 night, you’ll need more wood. The hot tub was very clean and we had no issues with the chemicals. The inside is cozy. The bathroom is downstairs and the bed upstairs. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. The kitchen has tons of utensils, pots/pans and a good variety of small appliances. We would be thrilled to stay here again.

Pros and cons - small things would make better
Good first. Great location with awesome hiking nearby - Grayson Highland- west Jefferson has a really great downtown area. House is private and quiet. The house is pretty good for the price point but some changes are required- most of this is likely property management issues- and they don’t come cheap so the owner needs to be informed. I own a vacation rental so please except this constructive feedback. The views were slightly exaggerated- the Mountain View’s are not much and it’s not next to the river. The hot tub was loaded with chemicals to the point my skin was itching/stinging. I have been to many other places including those managed (high sanitation) and I have never experienced that. The only chairs to enjoy the outdoors were straight back uncomfortable. A couple of rockers or Adirondacks would make a huge difference. Both of these things Definitely impacted our enjoyment. The wifi info was not accurate and while the office called and said they could have me contact customer support- who wants to do that on vacation? The last night we saw a random paper behind a big magnet on the refrigerator that had a different password- turns out that worked. The welcome book was wrong. The hair dryer fell apart in my hands. The kitchen stuff was very junky - better to have less and most important stuff than a bunch of stuff (like plastic containers w/o lids). A list of area hikes would be a nice touch. Property management seems to go over and above to protect themselves with rules on top of rules (contract was very lengthy and more rules posted in house) but doesn’t do anything to really make the stay enjoyable. If I were the owner I would pick a different group. The cabin has lots of potential and we had a nice time but I would not go back.

Breath of fresh air
The listing, the photos - they do not do this rental justice. The cabin has wonderful, and cozy decorations and amazing warm lamp lighting throughout. The bed is very comfortable, there's a huge tub and shower, and the kitchen is stocked with good dining dishes and even a Dutch oven! We were so at home and had a hard time leaving after the long, beautiful weekend. This cabin will warm your heart.

solitude, quiet, perfect place
We 100% absolutely loved this small A frame which offered us the solitude and peace of a remote location and had everything we needed. The place is so cute. It's cozy, heats up quick by a gas heater. The sleeping loft is more roomy than the photo shows. It was quite brisk during our stay so we loved the hot tub and Loved the outdoor fire pit which even came with logs to burn, though we'd brought our own. Great water pressure and immediate hot water --amazing for the top of a mountain! We immediately began fantasizing about staying here again in other seasons, when using a hammock might be possible. But the view in March, before trees are in leaf, was quite something to experience. Wonderful wraparound porch gives the chance for sunning at different times of day. A couple things were broken but not of huge consequence to our stay. The management co. seemed very responsive and caring.
