"We spent five nights in this unique hotel with a fascinating history. It is set by the River Lahn in the beautiful spa town of Bad Ems. The facilities such as the thermal pool were superb and we made full use of them. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was really clean and comfortable and the food excellent. It is unashamedly old-fashioned but is full of character and we had a superb holiday there. Highly recommended!"

I also recommend the restaurant for dinner. Good parking availability. Staff is very friendly. Only minor: the WIFI in my room was unstable. Otherwise: very warmly recommended. I was there for business purpose, but would definitely consider to stay there with the family. Especially kids will love this place too."

"Got there at midnight they didnt leave room number on the key for after hours and after hour number didnt work. Ended up sleeping in our car until we couldnt and kept trying all the rooms and finally found ours at 3am. Noisy people outside the hotel felt unsafe. If booking make sure to ask for a room away from the very very busy road in the front of the hotel. There is no AC so you have to leave the window open to the noise.
