"Excellent stay. The hotel is based around a pub, that gives you a real feel of country British. Log fires, oak beams set the scene for a lovely setting to stay and dine. The room was lovely, featuring a comfy bed, tv and adequate bathroom. Breakfast and dinner was really good."

"Husband stayed here on his own previously on walking trip, bought me this time and we got the 4 poster room, billed as being best room in the Hotel, Room 12. Has dual aspect windows with amazing views and a jet bath. Restaurant and food was amazing. Nice choice of breakfast although trimmed down due to Covid-19. Free toiletries, tea/coffee, bed was very comfy and room very spacious. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Definitely coming back!"

"A fantastic little place in the heart of Ambleside.The property is a cosy basement flat that felt wonderfully warm, even in January's chilly weather. It has everything you could possibly need, is spotless, and features a modern, well-appointed interior. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, making for a great night's sleep.
