The street the house is on goes down a steep hill (like almost any home with a lake view/access in Lake Lure) to the right to the lake where the secluded dock area is. All residents and their guests (You) have lake access and use of the grassy picnic area and dock area for kayaking, swimming, picnicking, fishing, and enjoying the beauty of the lake.

Guests will also have access to the subdivision's private cove area where you can picnic, play on the grass beach area, fish, kayak using our two kayaks, and swim.

ABOUT THE SPACE:
"Lake My Day" sits a top of a lookout overlooking the lake and the mountains in a quiet neighborhood. It has beautiful mountain and lake views. Fall is beautiful with the changing leaf colors. The house has a back deck the full length of the house and a front deck with views. Fresh air abounds! The parking area can fit 2-3 vehicles right in front of the house. The house has 3 bedrooms, all with king sized beds and Smart TVs. For babies and toddlers there is a pack and play, a highchair and a rocking chair. There is a large 60" LED HD TV with Roku and YouTube TV in the living room. An electronic family/game table can provide hours of fun at night and on rainy days. the main living area opens to the back deck where a 4-person hot tub and a nice charcoal Weber grill await you. At night, sit around the fire pit for roasted marshmallows, spending time looking at the stars and having lively conversations while enjoying the fire.

TRANSIT INFO:

***Please note that in the months of January to March the lake is lowered by 10-12 feet by the town of Lake Lure for maintenance. The lake can stay lower than normal for up to a month after March as it refills.

It is recommended you purchase the accidental damage protection if offered through your booking provider. Also WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRAVEL INSURANCE to protect your reservation from cancellation charges if you need to cancel for any unforeseen issues.

While the property is child friendly it is not necessarily child-proof. Parents will need to bring any childproofing required.

While the property is "pet friendly" there are some guidelines for pets:
1. You must tell us in advance if you have a pet or a service animal if you plan to bring one.
2. Maximum of 2 pets under 60 pounds, non-aggressive breeds only.
3. Pets must be fully house trained (no incontinence, no behavioral issues).

Usage of the hot tub, kayaks and beach floats/life jackets provided require agreements, which are agreed to upon signing the rental agreement, and are to be read and understood by the person booking the house and their guests.

Lake access is a part of the community. It is not private to you. The house is at the top of a mountainous community and the lake is a 1 minute drive to the bottom of the hill in a chained off area to which you have permission to access as our guest.
The whole community of Lake Lure has VERY curvy and windy roads and the neighborhood has steep hills.

*FOR STAYS 29 DAYS OR LONGER: We REQUIRE cleanings every 2 weeks during longer stays. The cleaning fee is much less than the departure cleaning fee at $100, however, you will be responsible for this fee for each clean during your stay. You must authorize this as a separate charge. You must also be flexible to allow our staff entry into the home for approximately 1-2 hours to perform regular cleaning tasks each time. We will coordinate the schedule directly with you. Please also note that this price does not include linens but that service is available for an additional cost. Please inquire. We also require hot tub maintenance to be done weekly during longer stays. Our technician has to enter the home to complete this task. No added cost to you for this.

Peaceful!
Place was perfect for us-kayaks were a wonderful bonus-lake is clean and not crowded. House was spotless and had everything we needed. Roads are very winding-it takes a long time to get to other towns-if we lived in NC, hanging out at the house and lake would have just fine, but we also wanted to explore Asheville, Black Mountain etc. Such an amazing part of the country!

Cute cabin
Very clean, cute and cozy. Easy check-in and checkout. Easy to access any information needed. Mountain road getting to the cabin has multiple switch backs so take your time. Enjoyed having close access to the lake as well as the kayaks. Hot tub is lovely on the back deck. Only small annoyance was there was construction going on next door, some of the trucks going by sounded like tanks. Otherwise, wonderful place….would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others.

Great, Peaceful Cabin on Lake Lure
Stayed with a group for New Years and the experience was perfect. This cabin has a great view overlooking the lake and is just a few steps from the water. The property was very clean and all amenities in the listing were available / working properly. There are many sights to see and activities to enjoy in the surrounding towns (Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, & Bat Cave), and Asheville is a short ride up the road. Communication with property owners was on point and quite timely. Booking and check-in was a breeze, and the highly detailed, online Guestbook/House Manual was very helpful. I would most certainly book again, or with one of their other properties in the future, when in the area.

Cozy cabin
My family stayed here for Thanksgiving and had a great time. The house was just as pictured, well equipped, and actually had decent WiFi (hard to find in the area) for streaming movies on our rainy days. We liked being able to take our dogs, and have the whole family together. Kitchen was well equipped, but not stuffed full of unnecessary dishes that filled every cabinet- there was actually a free cabinet to put food away, which I really appreciated! The only downside was that the mattresses were uncomfortable, especially in the master bedroom. But other than that, everything was great!

Lovely Property
The property was fantastic. Beautiful home and view, activities on the lake close to the property. Only comment is in the dark / if you come back later it is not always easy to get to - nothing that should detract from renting this propriety. Good for older couples or people to be aware of - this is truly a beautiful home.

Clean and comfortable lake view ranch home
The home was as described, clean, and well appointed. We were convenient to town and had everything we needed. The steepness of the hill the house is on made using the golf cart and the amenities down the hill somewhat cumbersome, but the house was a worthwhile stay nonetheless. We enjoyed our stay!

All the Amenities!
We had a great stay. We loved sitting in the hot tub at night looking at the stars. We even saw one firefly. The fenced in deck was great for our dog. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen has every gadget you could need including a pancake griddle. Beautiful dishes. But, really no food, so remember to bring sugar for your coffee, oil or butter for your pan etc. There is a grocery store about 9 min. away which was great. The roads in are twisty mountain roads and the driveway is very steep, but we managed to fit two vehicles and still could get the golf cart in and out. The owners were very communicative and sent a message when they heard from the power company that the power went out in a storm. They had flashlights in all the bedrooms which was really helpful. We did see a bear from the deck on the first day, so take the bear warnings seriously. There are a lot of forms to sign, but I was able to follow all the instructions. I found their digital guest book really helpful. We would definitely stay again. The three full bedrooms make it a nice size for a family. My in-laws were thrilled it was all one-level with no stairs except 3 to get in the house.

Family Getaway
Lake My Day was amazing! I was somehow able to snag this lake house last minute for a quick midweek vacation for my family and it did not disappoint!! We are a family of 6 with 4 young children (6,4,2&1) and everything was perfect. The kids loved roasting marshmallows by the fire at night with perfect views of Lake Lure as the sun was setting. We all enjoyed dips in the hot tub and dinner on the back deck which felt like you were in a tree house surrounded by all the tree branches. The golf cart to get back and forth from the deck/kayaks was so convenient although we did choose to walk a couple of times and it was not bad at all; a nice little work out to burn some of the kids energy. We fished from the docks, swam and paddled around in the kayaks on the water. Lake My Day is the perfect location, quietly tucked away for some peaceful seclusion but also just a short 20 min ride to Lake Lure shops, dining and Chimney Rock. I highly recommend doing the climb to the top of Chimney Rock and the short hike to Hickory Nut Waterfall. The views are amazing and it’s all family friendly hikes. Overall the house was very clean, updated and had everything we needed for our stay (including a pack and play for the baby) The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had and provided a ton of information regarding the house / area in their website upon booking. We highly recommend Lake My Day and look forward to when we can get back for a longer stay!

The property was clean and new, it was well appointed with anything we could have needed and more. We loved it here, and would have extended our stay if there wasn't another guest who had booked the home. Property management was very responsive when we had a problem with the door code. We would stay again if they would have us!

Fall Weekend Getaway
David and Karen’s home is lovely, perched above Lake Lure. It is one of the newer houses (2 others being built alongside it) in an established neighborhood around the lake. My husband and I met my sister and her husband for a birthday weekend, and the house met our needs perfectly. We had access to the deck hot tub, golf cart to get down to the lake, and kayaks. The house itself is neat as a pin and we had more than enough room. The galley kitchen is not large enough for many cooks at one time, which worked out ok! Check-in/out and other policies are plainly stated, so there were no surprises. We never required any real assistance from the owners, but our communication with them made me confident that they were only a text or phone call away and ready to help. I’m frankly amazed that the house was available during peak foliage season on rather short notice. Our good fortune!! We’d love to stay again, and will plan accordingly. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!
