"Good sized room with safe, hairdryer , tea and coffee making, robes and slippers. Enjoyed the spa after a good walk. Quality breakfast. My only negative was the bed was too hard so I didn't sleep well. My friends in other rooms found beds ok so personal experience. There are some electric car charging facilities in the car park. "

"Free parking and views of lake from the dining room were very good. Half board - the dinner was good but overpriced so the 10% service charge worked out extortionate. NOT GOOD We were put in a small loft room with a difficult door to open and a tight stair access- the room and whole property needs a lick of paint and could be cleaner. Location too far from bowness - walking into town is 20minutes but on both roads which had no pavement so very dangerous. Wouldn’t stay here again ."

"We stayed at Linthwaite House to celebrate my partners birthday, its not so much a hotel as a Art Gallery with its wonderfully tasteful decor and items from the owners private collection. Its location over looking Windermere and landscaped garden it was for us the most fantastic place to relax wonderful food and with staff that couldn't do enough for us truly 5 star for us it was a "Faultless" weekend."

"Fabulous Hotel. So warm comfortable and welcoming. Rooms were high standard. Bath with jets was lovely after a walk. Breakfast....too much to eat and so delicious! Staff attentive and friendly. "

"Overall the stay was nice and location was perfect. Service was ok, reception staff were friendly. One small criticism would be that they are not very accommodating when it comes to making small changes or eliminations to a meal in the restaurant, for example swapping out the chips in a meal to something else (which pretty much all restaurants do!). It would have also been nice to have the option to 'make your own' breakfast. Been to many 4 star hotels that offer this option. Other than that, we...
