Lac à Magie Tours and Activities

I liked the balcony and the staff were excellent. However do note, there is on Friday night and Saturday night a singer playing below you which is okay, but the weekends are busy. And there was some people having a rousing discussion on our floor in the next room at 1 am. However, the ceiling alarm went off Friday afternoon after we checked in for two quick chirps so it stopped after that and we figured all is good. Then on Saturday night at about 3 am it went off again twice with two chirps and that wasn’t so good. Perhaps you could attend to that as it was some sort of problem and when we checked out I didn’t mention that but I should off. The location is the best in St Andrew by the sea and the staff were wonderful.

Location, location location! The only thing this motel has going for it is the location and the gorgeous sunsets. The common areas are dark, with dated dark carpet that is lumpy and dirty. We had a room in the lower level, the staircase was dimly lit with dark old carpet and walls, nothing inviting about this place. We entered our room and the first thing we noticed was that the head of one bed was lower than the foot, the other bed was flat but not comfortable. Everything was dingy and old, the old white fridge/microwave were yellowed with age, the wicker chairs were too big for the room and all banged up. We did enjoy a beautiful sunset out front of our room but the iron fence was in disrepair as well. Went to shower the next day and the bathmat towel was tattered and looked unwashed (I presume it was clean but very stained), there was dried blood on the wall by the shower, the bathroom was not clean to my standards. I made the mistake of looking at the white quilt under the sheet (white linen service), under the brown layer, to see a very dirty/stained comforter, I will leave it at that. I never write reviews but this one was truly bad. I don't care how old a property may be, but it needs to be clean! They don't give the rooms away either. There was nothing appealing about the indoor pool they tout or the free breakfast (neither of which we utilized). I would not recommend this motel.

Unique small town hotel. The property was nice, but the room had deficiencies. Mold in the shower/tub and cobwebs on the lamp. Beds were way too soft. Not terrible, but we won't be back.
