Great National Park Visit
Our family of 4 came out to stay to explore the Olympic Coast. The access to the areas we wanted to go was excellent. We cook all our meals, and the kitchen was well stocked and easy to find things. It was a great place to spend a few days on the Olympic Peninsula.

Olympic Moments
This is our second time stay and just as magical as the first. Location is one of the best on the peninsula; home is cozy, clean and quiet. Whether hanging out and watching the local wildlife or spending the day at the nearby beaches and park land, the moments we had are some of the best memories in the ONP.

Olympic Peninsula
We had a wonderful stay at this Olympic Peninsula home. It was extremely clean and had everything needed for a stay close the park. We felt like we had all the amenities we needed. Even though the home is in a remote area, there were all the comforts of home.

Amazing week!
We absolutely loved this property and our visit to ONP! We were able to set up our base camp here and travel to all of the major park sights. The property was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We even got to see Elk in the pasture on our last morning. Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Peaceful
Our stay at Closest to Olympic was great. We were in awe at the property being on 30+ acres and enjoyed sitting out on the deck looking over the vast forest towards the ocean. Really convenient to many places of interest. Clean and well stocked. If we travel as a group, we would stay here again.

Phenomenal stay
This property is the most majestic one our family has ever experienced. The pictures don’t do justice to the sounds, scope and textures of the landscape. Quite literally, the house borders ONP and the access to all that it offers. We’d highly recommend it to anyone of any age

Gem in the ONP
This house and property are fantastic. If we could rate it higher, we would. The quiet seclusion plus the daily visits from the local elk herd make this place magical. The house is spacious yet cozy and very clean. It has all you need to be at home on your vacation. The access to the park is phenomenal with short drives to multiple beaches and rain forest hikes. We can’t wait to book our next trip. Thank you to our host for making this property available!

Fantastic home in a peaceful setting!
This was a wonderful home for our vacation on the Olympic Peninsula. Beautiful setting, nestled in the forest 300 yards from the Sol Duc River and two miles from Rialto Beach. The house was perfect for two families (4 adults 4 kids) with many amenities and high end finishes. We particularly enjoyed the expansive deck and fire pit. The owner was responsive and accommodating and provides everything needed to enjoy this wonderful home. We would definitely stay here again and in fact plan to come back for a salmon fishing adventure in the future.

Comfortable house
The house had great appliances, high quality linens and very comfortable beds. It was very close to Rialto Beach and the ranger station to ONP. However it was a 20-minute drive to town- so don't forget the milk. My biggest issue was the river was not close to the house. We tried to walk there but due to the unkempt trail we never made it. If you are looking for a very quiet and relaxing place- this is it.

Rialto beach getaway
Wonderful home. This is a beautiful property located on 30 acres of preserved land directly adjacent to Olympic national park. We saw elk deer, rabbits, bald eagles and a bear in the expansive backyard. 2.3 mile drive to Rialto beach. Home is renovated with many updates and modern on the inside. Very nice kitchen and appliances. Easy check in process. The owner was responsive. The only thing that would make this home more perfect, would be a hot tub on the expansive back deck, and a king bed in the master bedroom. Otherwise perfect in every way. Would definitely recommend and will certainly return again.

Magical forest and river
The forest and river on the property are fantastic because you're essentially surrounded by the Olympic National Park. The location is also ideal for exploring the many nearby beaches and the Hoh rainforest. In particular, the Second Beach trail is a short hike to tidepools (near the north of the beach, but not all the way to the arch) that had exceptional marine life at low tide. With binoculars, we had good views of whales and seals offshore! The home and outdoor deck were comfortable, clean, and convenient. The host was helpful and responsive. The water level in the river on the property was lower than usual when we visited, but that enabled us to walk on the smooth rock beds along the river, enjoying the gorgeous views and the beautiful colors and shapes of the river pebbles. Of all the terrific places we stayed in the Pacific Northwest, this property is the one where my husband wants to return.

Don’t hesitate, just book it!
The house and location are absolutely fantastic for visiting Olympic National Park. Ideally located to visit the coastline as well as Sol Duc, Hoh, and Quinalt. The River access was great for our down days at the house. The house feels brand new… impeccably clean. The property is incredibly private and sandwiched between national park lands so really it’s like you never leave the park. The kitchen was well stocked. The host was responsive and welcoming. My girls took their hammocks and hammocked in the trees. They caught tadpoles and juvenile cut throat trout by the river. We relaxed on the back porch and grilled out in the evenings. We saw deer, an owl, and countless bald eagles. We would not look elsewhere if returning to the area! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

A great place to reconnect
A great place to reconnect This was the first time I have used VRBO/HomeAway. I was scrolling through the site and found this property. I went back and forth and finally decided to take a leap of faith. I am so glad I did! The home itself was exactly as described and more. As soon as you walk in the door you can feel the good vibes. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. It actually felt like home. All you need to bring are clothes and groceries. Jim has really thought of everything else. We also appreciated the white book. The outdoor property is beautiful! You can’t go wrong when your neighbor is the Olympic National Forest. Every day on our way to fish hook tree we said hello to Mr. Toad who liked to hang out at the corner of the house. We were greeted one morning by a herd of Roosevelt Elk. There must have been about 50 in the herd; bulls, cows and calves. They hung out for a couple of hours. We went to the river to fish. Didn’t catch anything but it was entertaining to teach the grandkids how to bait and cast. Rialto beach and the Pacific Ocean are just a 2 minute drive down the road. The kids had a blast climbing on the driftwood. We also went down the road to 2nd beach. Little bit of a hike through the forest and across the driftwood but totally worth it. 2nd beach is a very different beach from Rialto. My family has not been all together in the same place at the same time in 10 years. This was the perfect back drop to reconnect with each other and laugh a lot. I give this property 5 stars plus. If you’re looking for a place for your family to reconnect and go on great adventures then take a leap of faith and rent this home. You won’t be sorry.
