"We arrived at 1530, for a 1700 check in and the hotel was utter chaos. Cars everywhere on the ramp causing congestion with no way past. Eventually got into the car park and lugged all our stuff into reception by 1545.
The reception area was like a zoo. Bags, skis, and people everywhere. We were eventually seen and told our room would be ready in 30 minutes and to go back.
30 minutes later, I went back and was ignored by 4 receptionists who just kept walking past. Eventually the original guy I...
"I had low expectations of this hotel due to reviews but was very pleasantly surprised and would absolutely stay again. Can only assume poor reviews are for apartments and not rooms. We had a newly renovated suite which had a separate living area and two bathrooms. Yes you could hear music from outside but wasnt awful. We paid a supplement for the 'thinky' card as travelling with 2 year old- bit unclear what it actually covered bar a room with pureed sauces for pastilla for kids dinner? However...
"Just what we expected of a small hotelin a small town in the Alps. Clean amdcomgortabke. Lots of dining options inn the area! Would certainly reccomend!"
"I loved the place. Very clean, organized. The people running it were very accommodating and helpful. The view was spectacular. I am definitely going to go back. "
"Loved the breakfast, really great options, above and beyond.
Staff courteous and helpful without being overly warm and welcoming.
The hot tub/spa is 25 euros per person for 2 hours, honestly this is way too expensive and not clear on hotel listing.
The room was spacious with a good view and amenities, loved the little coffee machine. The area itself is very lively with lots to see and do within an easy walk of the hotel."
"Charming hotel in a fantastic location. Rooms were quite large for a European hotel. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were clean. Steps away from the main plaza and several outstanding restaurants only minutes away walking. I will definitely come back to Aosta and stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Great stay!"
"We stayed 7 nights in hotel Express. So far hotel is clean , well maintained, rooms big enough, bed comfortable , bathroom clean . WiFi didn’t work well most of times unfortunately, not sure what the issue but will recommend to fix it . Staff if pleasant, professional and helpful, breakfast was ok . Across the street huge supermarket, done dining , in general this is nice hotel , recommend. "
"Friendly staff. Hotel maybe a little tired but a good base for skiing holiday. An 8 min walk from the Town centre and a little longer to the ski lift. For some reason the hotel shuttle did not go to courmayeur ski lift but only to Dolonne lift. "
"If you are looking for a ski holiday in Courmayeur, I would recommend ski-in ski-out accommodation on Plan Checrouit itself. By staying on Plan Checrouit, you avoid having to queue for the gondola up and down Plan Checrouit, which can get quite busy at peak periods. With certain consecutive day ski passes, going up and down the gondola at night was covered and the gondolas were quite frequent. Super G was located right in-front of the main lifts and it was a luxury to just step out from...
"Great location and very friendly staff. We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Everyone working here is so friendly. Dinner was excellent! We would love to come back. "

"I like Folie Douce for two reasons: it is located right on the slope of Savoy, so I walk directly to the lift with skiis. It is in the middle of the town center - close to everything you need without getting in the car. Facility is showing signs of deterioration - typical wear and tear of a busy hotel at ski resort."
A verified traveller stayed at La Folie Douce Hôtel Chamonix
"Hotel is in a great location next to the central bus station and is also walking distance to downtown Chamonix. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The hot tub, steam room, and sauna overlooking Mont Blanc was the best part of the hotel after a long day on the slopes. My only critique would be if you would like a quiet room to book a room facing the Mont Blanc side to not get noise from the bus station. Would definitely recommend and stay again! "
