Superb new Gasthaus in Kotka. The location is really convenient Gasthaus is located at the top of the hill within nice recidential area. City center and all key sights are within walking distance. The property is an old coast guard station and everything has been renovated honoring the history of the building. So, this is a sea themed Gasthaus were some of the rooms have private bathroom and others shared. There is also a large community kitchen that is fully equipped and perfect for making your own breakfast or even dinner, Great views, amazingly clean and easy to park. Highly recommended for a stay in Kotka

Asiallinen majapaikka omatoimiselle
Saavuin paikalle autolla vuoden liukkaimpana päivänä. Takavedolla ei pihaan olisi välttämättä päässyt ja lisäksi kävely asemalta kaupungille oli varsin mielenkiintoista, kun liukumäessä oli joitain luisua hidastava hiekanjyväsiä. Paremmalla kelillä tuskin on ongelmaa, mutta asema on oikeasti jyrkän tien päässä, mikä kannattaa huomioida. Olin todennäköisesti ainoa majoittuja, joten talossa ei olisi voinut olla rauhallisempaa. Suihkut, lämmitykset ja muut toimivat moitteettomasti kuten myös kulku tiloihin avainkoodeilla. Keittiössä voi laittaa evästä, mutta itse tyydyin valmiisiin sämpylöihin. Paikka on todella siisti ja historiallensa uskollisesti karu, asiallinen ja pröystäilemätön. Sisustuksen pienet yksityiskohdat kuitenkin murtavat puolustuslaitosmaisuuden tunnelmaa pehmeämpään suuntaan, joten suositellaan muillekin kuin militaristeille. Hieno meriympäristö on tietysti positiivista, mutta tuulistakin siellä ulkona on. Tietynlaista laitosmaista tunnelmaa ja merihenkisyyttä arvostavalle tämä on aivan loistava majapaikka, ainoa haittapuoli tietysti se, että aamiaiset ja muutkin ruuat pitää järkätä itse.
