"Lovely stay, very convenient to the train station, cliffs walk and castle. Kitchen and laundry facilities available for use which was nice. Only downside was the sink in our room did not drain well so we didn’t really get to use it properly. "

"Bright and cosy stay in a one bed flat in a small terraced house. Lively high ceilings and view to the sea through the baw windows. It's not a luxury hotel! - but was functional, clean and a great option for a weekend at a festival in neighbouring town Margate. Good prices, excellent communication, on-street parking and short stroll to the beach. "

"A revisit to this beautiful cottage in the heart of Canterbury The host, Neil, is always very friendly and keeps in touch prior to our stay We had a lovely Christmas there and plan to go again ! "

"The property is of very good condition larger than what I thought from the pictures we spent two nights there as we wanted some peace and quiet over New years Eve away from the loudness of fireworks. And I was very happy to report there was no noise at all required"

Great location and value for money

"The hotel is very well located in the centre of Canterbury, only a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Sanjeewa, who runs the hotel, was very friendly, welcoming, and always helpful during our stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Though the decor could use a bit of an update, this didn't affect our stay at all, and you can hardly expect more at such a reasonable price! A continental breakfast was also included with toast, crumpets, muffins, yoghurts, cereal, jams, honey, etc. Though there wasnt any parking at the hotel we booked parking a minute's walk away through Just Park, which worked well for us. Sanjeewa did contact me prior to our stay though, advising about parking and offering to let us drop off luggage to save us having to walk with it. We all really enjoyed our stay at Greyfriars Lodge and would happily visit again in the future. "
