A great VT spot
Large, comfy house, accommodates a big group, quiet neighborhood with beautiful hikes nearby, a helpful, responsive host, fun in the warm weather and seems like a great base for Killington and Pico skiing in the winter

Killington family ski trip
Great location to ski Killington. Loved the wood burning stove, and use of the garage was a plus since we have some bad weather. Lots of space to spread out along three floors. Host was very helpful.

Skiing at Killington
Overall a very good and cozy stay, roughly 15 min from killington ski resort. A couple of minor considerations like a squeaky floor on the second floor and not super comfortable mattress, but these are minor details and we all had a great time staying in this house

A Great Retreat
The families of our two children, 8 people altogether, stayed for 5 nights and found the house spacious, comfortable and well-stocked. It suited us all perfectly. We made a few fun visits to the nearby town recreation center for swimming and pickle ball. The host was very communicative and welcoming.

Awesome Ski House with Great Location
This is a superior, roomy, immaculate dwelling. John the host was awesome and very attentive. The house was perfect for our group - we have been renting properties in and around the Killington area for over thirty (30) years now and to date we have yet to find a place that compares to this house. Just a lovely space for our group.

Plenty of space for a large family or 2 family's
The property was set in the woods and it was beautiful. The hosue is perfect for 2 familys, or 1 large family. Plenty of space for everyone.
I house needs a little tlc in some areas and we wish the yard was mowed so we could have enjoyed the back yard more

Great house and fun trip.
House is big with a separate floor, which the teens enjoyed. Nice fire pit and fun golf tee. Pond is drained so outside photos need updating. The living area and dining area are both big and comfortable. Kitchen was well furnished. We all really enjoyed the property and will come back next year!

Ski vacation
We are a group of friends that have been skiing together for years. John’s house suited us perfectly. We especially liked the big table that sat everyone comfortably. The upper oven on the stove took some figuring out but we eventually mastered it. We intend on returning.

The house was great, in a secluded and pretty setting, quintessential Vt.
We were a multi generational group of 12 and the house was perfect. There was plenty of space, the beds were comfortable, and the seating smf furniture arrangement was also comfortable and acccomodated all of us. We prepared 2 fairly elaborate dinners and the kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking and the dining room table was great for a large group. The owner, Frank, was very responsive, answered all our questions and was very helpful. We had a great visit and would definitely return.

Very spacious house !!
We enjoyed our stay at this spacious house with a group of 9 ppl …. I think this house can fit 12 ppl easily
The house was very nice and clean except for one little stain when we arrived in the basement but was taken care off after a brief communication with the owner
The owner always promptly responded to whatever questions we have
This was actually the second time I have stayed here and will definitely be back again
Hugh house and affordable… excellent combination for any rental and highly recommended

Secluded, spacious, pet friendly retreat
Our family enjoyed six happy and relaxing days and nights at this friendly and spacious Vermont house. We combined a short vacation along with our teenage son's golf tournament held at the nearby Green Mountain National Golf Course. The four of us, and our dog, also hiked nearby Mountains to beautiful vistas. The house and grounds were clean, well kept and very well described in the listing; even better than we anticipated. The owner was just a phone call away and was friendly, responsive and very helpful when we had a few questions after arriving. We would definitely like to plan a longer return stay in the future. And, we would recommend this house to anyone interested including our friends and family.

No house is perfect
Great main space to cook, relax and spend time as a group. Overall the house was spotless, but the fridge and oven needed some attention. The location and property is beautiful and well maintained. As a host, I was disappointed not having a proper private on suite bathroom. The only bedroom with private bathroom was located in the basement and was exposed to the home boiler, hot water tank and laundry. Not a pleasant experience when using the bathroom and also inconvenient when guest wanted to use laundry machine. Out of the 5 bedrooms, 3 couples complained about the mattress quality and not sleeping well.
Great home for a large group.

Beautiful setting, Ideal location
We have rented from John Frank for the last several years during the summer months when we enjoy the kicked-back experience of Vermont in the off-season. We have found John to be very easy to communicate with. We enjoy many things about our summers in Vermont, including kayaking, driving the back roads and enjoying the scenery, swimming, visiting museums and historic and scenic sites, etc.
Lest we attract competition, I don't want to wax too eloquent about these particular accommodations and property, but they are very clean, very well-equipped and well-maintained. Would be perfect for your fall or winter or spring get-away (LOL).
Eating out recommendations: In Rutland: Gill's for wonderful sub sandwiches, Little Harry's for dinner out, In Bethel: Tozier's for great seafood, their onion rings are to die for! and finally, The Swiss Farm Inn in Pittsfield really does have the best (and cheapest) breakfasts around.
We lovermont in the summer!

Liked: Listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication, location
Great place. Dirty. Description was not accurate
A group of us guys have come to Killington every year for the last 6 years, always staying in a rental. This place is very spacious, however I would caution anyone interest. Upon opening the front door you met with a musty smell of an animal. The skylight above the kitchen table has mold on it. There were multiple piles of dog feces on the front deck. A think layer of dust on the fans in the bedrooms. The description states that the property is ten minutes away from Killington resort, when in actuality it’s closer to 20 minutes. If I would have known the actual distance I may have sought something out a little closer to the town. Beds did not have sheets on them, there were sheets in the closet….however after paying as much money as I did to rent the place, I feel like that is an inconvenience.
