We organized our wedding in property’s outdoors and our bridal party stayed at the property. Owners helped us so much and were extremely responsive! Everything is 14 minutes far and we’re so glad we picked this spot! Cindy and Perry felt like family guests. They made us feel so comfortable

Family Easter Gathering
We needed a house where we could cook large meals and play outside. This house and property was perfect for our family weekend. There was plenty of bedroom spaces for each family to have privacy and everyone slept well; the beds were comfortable. The common areas are large and easily accommodated all of us. We especially enjoyed the large dining table and extra refrigerator. The outside fire pit along with the inside gas fireplace were perfect to sit around and relax. The history of the place and the player piano were also a very cool aspect of the property that you can't get in every rental. The owners added a personal touch with Easter decorations. We would definitely stay here again if we get a chance.

Wonderful wedding venue
My family hosted a small (44 guests) wedding at the Lodge over Memorial Day weekend. The Lodge was the perfect venue from the beautiful grounds to the warm and intimate atmosphere of the Lodge itself. Cindy and Perry could not have been more accommodating. We were able to decorate the Lodge as we liked for the reception and Cindy and Perry set up the lawn with chairs and an arch for a lovely outdoor ceremony. One of the nicest aspects of the Lodge is the privacy it provides for your group, particularly for a wedding. We were delighted with this opportunity to celebrate in such a well- suited accommodation.

Very spacious
We had a group of 14 total and it was enough beds and space for everyone. The location is great, it was exactly 10 to 15 minutes from everything we had planned to do. Very clean and organized. Had a good variety of games for children of all ages. The driveway had plenty of space. Just overall great stay. Everyone enjoyed it so much they are already planning to go back

Great house
Planned a weekend getaway for my brother's bachelor party. We had 11 guys staying here and we had a great time. The house was more than large enough to comfortably accommodate us and the fire pit was fun to hang out by at night. The house even offered a van rental that took us to a few breweries in the area. My brother and all of his friends had an amazing time!

Spacious and well maintained
The house is very spacious. Many bedrooms and bathrooms for privacy and enough indoor and outdoor places for gathering. The whole house is well maintained and the kitchen is well stocked. Very clean. Easy to find and just 10 mins away from the main town. Quiet and convenient. Only drawback is the wifi is spotty. Good in the great hall but not so much in other rooms/outsides. Does not bother us but worth noting. Somehow we locked ourselves of a bedroom one night and the host is very responsive to help us get in. Appreciate that.

Awesome Stay
Our family gets together every year in January-the old Lodge in Massanutten was perfect the size of our family aged 2 to well I won’t share that- lol. The massive great room was amazing! The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the dining room was fabulous! We spent slot of time outside by the wood fire pit just talking and watching the kids play! Thanks for a great experience in a historic private lodge!!

The owner was very responsive with answering general questions to more specific suggestions of places to go. The house was fantastic and everything I expected from the online photos. There is abundant room both indoor and outdoor for spreading out with games, sitting and talking to prepping food. Looking forward to returning.

Our retreat to the Old Massanutten Lodge was a beautiful and relaxing end to our summer!
My family and I absolutely loved the Old Massanutten Lodge!! We went over the Labor Day weekend. Our kids and grandkids had plenty of space to spread out, relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air. The lodge is well kept with a soft beds, a great kitchen with all the amenities, a fire pit outside with ample sitting areas on the front porch and lots of open areas for the kids to run and play. My husband and I especially loved the butterfly room! My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!!

Great for congregating inside or out
First, owners were very responsive and were able to answer any questions / providing any information which is refreshing, this also came in handy when there was a snag with the check-in and when the grill ran out of propane as the owner resolved the issues. The house is great for congregating and hanging out, with the large front poach, enormous ‘great room’, large dining room and fire pit out in the enormous yard and the large parking area fit all our cars easily. It’s well pretty well stocked in the newly redone kitchen, games, fire pit on the back ‘patio’, fire pit in the yard, fire pit/‘table’ on the front porch, Sonos system, new grill, etc. which was what we were looking for and was away from the hustle and bustle which was great. Back patio was a little different than the photos but we spent our time at the fire-pit in the yard and the front poach so it didn’t present an issue and I could understand some confusion around which bedroom was which and what rooms are ‘open’ and ‘off limits’ but again these are all small critiques which if they really were issues the owners would have resolved if contacted about; our overall experience was great and enjoyed our time spent there.

Celebration!
My 4 Florida children and their spouses & my granddaughter came up to celebrate their baby brother turning 30. There were 13 Of us and the house was perfect! Plenty of bedrooms and baths, a very nice kitchen and a GREAT Room with plenty of room for all. A cute playroom too. There are several outdoor searing areas and a stone fire ring. Cindy, the owner, was great to work with and always responded quickly.

Stay away
The description is a big lie. Stay away and spend your time and money somewhere else. It has 5 bedrooms and the owners count a mattress in front of a tv as another bedroom. It has 3.5 bathrooms not 4. Photos you see are all edited and misleading. The worst part of our stay was the water that turned yellow the second day. We contacted the owners about the water situation and they claimed it never happened before. The owners came to check the water filters and they said everything works “perfectly” and the color of the water is because of the seasonal water level in the well. So how do they know the reason if it hadn’t happened before and why they didn’t install a proper filter to avoid that. The whole house smelled so bad with little ventilation. The house was so dirty the minute we checked in and you could see stinks in every corner and even on the curtains in master bedroom. This property by far was the worst place we’ve ever been to. Please save your money and look for a rental somewhere else.

We had a reunion of four families, each with small children, and this house worked out perfectly for us. There was plenty of space to spread out, and we had a memorable afternoon running around the massive yard and making s'mores at the fire pit. Cindy was very accessible and accommodating to our group.
