« The host communicated from right after I confirmed our stay. She responded each time I wrote a message and was very helpful and informative. The place was a bit deep in the volcano area and we were very happy with the quiet and privacy. The house was amazing, clean, comfortable and very accommodating. The hot tub sealed the deal. « Great place to stay in! Hosts very attentive to your needs, fresh fruits you can pick yourself every day. BBQ works well, and has a side too for making breakfast. Only downside is the neighbouring dogs that bark. Other then that, great place! »

« As advertised and more! It was a shame we didn't have time to thoroughly explore their beautiful grounds and giftshop. I told my wife about the highly rated vegetation cafe and she said, "well I'm not a vegetarian.". Then she tried the tiny fresh baked loaf of sweet bread they kindly left in the fridge(perfect after volcano viewing snack), Then when I asked "How about now?". She replied "I think I might be a vegetarian!". Delicious! Thanks again for a wonderful stay! »

« Our stay at the kahena beach cottage was amazing. It was on the rainforest side, which gave us a wonderful "off the beaten path" experience and It was directly across from kahena beach, which is a nude beach so be mindful of that before bringing your kids and making the nude people uncomfortable ( watched this happen). « I loved staying in this little cottage! The main house is close by but that didn’t detract from the peacefulness. It’s decorated super cutely, the bed was comfy and has everything you need for a stay close to the national park. Opening the big doors next to the bed makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest - surrounded by vegetation with birds chirping. »

« This was a beautiful, magical place to stay. It has a good selection of kitchen stuff right where you’d expect, some games and beach equipment for the kids, and a small but quality selection of books and dvds. The location is as advertised, near volcano park but also out in the jungle. Bring food though: the prices and selection in town are not optimal. Overall, it’s easily one of the best plates I’ve ever stayed. »
