I phoned property in morning of arrival date to request 2 queen bed room instead of the originally booked king. Stated was no problem and that my reservation was changed to the 2 queen beds as requested. On checkin were told that no 2 queen bed rooms were available. Asked for a cot which wasn’t brought until 2:00 in the morning. Was a twin blow up mattress, super uncomfortable. King bed itself was uncomfortable, pillows were lumpy. Room outdated, rugs smelly. Very disappointing. No shopping , restaurants close by.

They are currently renovating, our room is a renovated room. So far so good. And the restaurant has amazing food!

I had a fantastic stay at The James Hotel. Everything was wonderful. My room was incredibly clean and the bed was so comfortable. Staff was fantastic. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. Looking forward to my next stay.
