"We stayed two nights in John Day, first night we stayed at Best Western. Big mistake it cost us $$$ more and we had issues; couldn't get hooked up to the internet, the coffee maker in the room didn't work, and the shower was more like a sand blaster than a shower. I didn't need any soap, due to loosing a layer of skin! Save yourself $$$ and a big hassle and stay at the Sunset... You can buy a pretty nice breakfast for $$$ you will save. "

"We were looking for a vacation rental that was fairly close to the mountains NE of Prairie City and 3 popped up. This one was perfect! We had family elk hunting and camping up in the mountains but felt like we needed to stay in town due to having a 3 month old baby. The beds were comfortable, wi-fi worked great and the house is fully equipped with everything one would need. And I mean that! One morning while we were there it snowed pretty good and the power went out for a few hours. There was a good working flash light and great communication from the owner. We would stay again and recommend this rental!"

"If you are looking for a fancy place to stay don't come here. However, if you need an inexpensive location that is roomy and clean its a good choice. Unlike another review there were no bed bugs. The bed was clean. The carpet was a bit torn but it was clean, water worked well and the bed was comfortable. I would return again. "
