"Booked for 2 nights, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The gala dinner, though expensive was excellent, music, dance, food, drink and service was exceptional. We stayed in two of the luxury "Tents", which had all the amenities of a normal room and felt special. Close to shops and some restaurants, walking distance. Impeccable hotel, beautiful. Salon near by, really good gym. Winter so pool was out, but too cold in the evening. "

"This is a characterful place to stay rather than an anonymous chain hotel. We stayed in a luxury room which was large and quiet. We ate there every night as the food was good and the view amazing. There were other restaurants within a short walk but it was nice not to have to walk out again after our busy days. Things to note Doors were low to rooms and en suites, my husband kept banging his head! There are also steep stairs and no lift so if you aren’t good on your feet it could be an issue....

"The hotel was under some regulatory situation and 2 weeks before our arrival the hotel was closed by Government. No communication. "Chandelao Garh is more than just a good hotel. It's an experience. Facilities, the food and service are nearly impecable and the best I've found in India. But what really stands out is the experience and the tours offered. Even though it's situated in a small village, you should spend at least a couple nights here. So glad we've found this place to recharge batteries and see rural India."

"We checked in to the hotel on 22 December.We were provided a lovely room, which could not be locked. The hotel has a great restaurant, but the complimentary breakfast needs an upgrade with very few options. One point to mention here is that we had booked the hotel in advance and were supposed to pay the full amount during checkout, but we're asked to pay the same day which was a letdown. I would rate the staff service as much better than expected. Overall would recommend it for a short stay."
